Quite a boring post and poll but I am interested in what folk think our chances are next season?

On the basis that our last three visits to this division have only been of a one season duration, it's up or down. Being an optimist promotion via the play offs.

Had to go with mid-table but as said above, it depends on the comings and goings. To be honest, I just want to avoid a complete slide like the last time. I don't want to be watching Darlo and Lincoln for the next ten years!

With the current line-up, mid-table. With a few decent signings we may push for the play-offs. I seee us having a Millwall/Brighton/Crewe type season.

I'd be quite happy with a bit of stability and mid table. A couple of years of that would make us a more consistent team in the CCC than i believe we were this year. Obviously a return to the CCC would be fantastic, but i doubt we have the quality for that at the moment.

Yes, and if Fred, Gower and JCR leave us and a replaced with the calibre of (some of) the transfers that we had this season I think consolidation will be all we can hope for.

If we can get players in like Clarke, McCormack and Hammell in Id be delighted.

Personally dont see us in the top 4 at all and hope we can do well enough to be competing for the play offs.

Just because we won this league last season is irrelevant, we were on the back of a promotion and have now had a season of mediocrity and 3-0 whuppings. Confidence wont be high and if we have a bad opening couple of games can see it being a bit of a battle.

Mid-table. It's very rare for sides to drop into league one and then bounce back up at the first time of asking. Man City did it. Leeds may do it. But no one has done it since Brighton - relegated in 2002-03, bounced back up in 2003-04. But they only escaped relegation again in 04-05 by one point, and then went down in 05-06.

So long as we play well and look to be making progress next season, I won't be unhappy. League One looks like it might be a pretty tough division next season, after all - it could look something like:

Southend United
Leeds United
Nottingham Forest
Yeovil Town
Oldham Athletic
Swansea City
Carlisle United
Tranmere Rovers
Millwall
Doncaster Rovers
Port Vale
Huddersfield Town
Bristol Rovers
Luton Town
Swindon Town
Crewe Alexandra
Brighton & Hove Albion
Gillingham
Hartlepool United
Walsall
Northampton Town
Cheltenham Town
Bournemouth
Leyton Orient

Not many easy games in that division, really...! Mid-table would do me.

Matt

IMO MK we would be better off without JCR, Gower would be big miss and losing Freddy is no brainer. Of course the new signings will give us a bit more idea how things gonna pan out
