New Southend Stadium

The Trigg Parkette sounds good to me!

Isn't that the name of the fanzine for the Little Feat Fan Club?

That was Mrs Martins initial idea.....Little did she know.....

I Don't like a name involving "Fossets" Just doesn't sound right IMO. Of course we could name it when it is actually built...

Next Millenium Stadium it is then?

I feel a memorial to Sid Broomfield should be erected at the new stadium in gratitude to the man that paved the way and ensured our existence. I feel it would be fitting to establish a Broomfield fund where our contributions go to local football at grass 'Roots' level and further the good work of the great man. It may even have the knock on effect of producing a future star for the Blues. As for the new stadium name;

a) The New Hall
b) Martinsfield
c) WelcomePark

Saxon, not everyday you find a king on your doorstep

Hall - Extensive Local use - Roots Hall, Earls hall, Edwards Hall etc
There is already a Saxon Hall in the Borough, Wessex Blue - it's by the Airport.

I thought it was Cloud Cuckoo Farm, which is apt as it sums up their hopes of promotion this season.

Let's all laugh at Col Ewe,

The Cockle Shed
The Blue Ring....with special cooled Bog seats
The Shrimp Basket
The "it'll never happen" arena
Essex arena

I was thinking that the Centenary Stadium could be appropriate.

I am now of the opinion that the Bi-Centenary Stadium is likely to be more apt.

Some ideas, some pretentious, some daft but hopefully entertaining.

Stade de Fossets
Fortress Fossets
Sutton Road sounds 'normal'
The Ronarena
Sid's new shack
The Shrimper Zone
The Curse Hall (read it out, it combines our previous 2 homes, plus it's kind of appropriate - ask Bradford's goalkeeper!)

Much as I'd love to, you just can't name a loo after Dick Bate - just read it aloud and see what I mean - 'The Dick Bate Rooms' or 'The Dick Bate Suite' sounds like a cheap Amsterdam nightclub.

We cannot underestimate the service put into the club by a certain Mr Banks.

All hail Frankie's Fortress Fossetts.
