...but ! time will tell
All new Nike kits have the logo up there.

Are we going to have the stupid numbers in circles thing on the front?

hopefully not because of the sponsor.

I like the colour and delighted bout the quality. Not so keep on the white bits on the sleve. Look a bit wierd.

Would be nice to have a kit thats not off the peg !

Would also be nice if we could sign baros from Liverpool.

This is as much 'off the peg' for the national sides of Holland, Portugal etc. as it is for us.

can you feel it through your monitor?
Well its better than last season's, Im sure theres hundereds of the new shirt around so ill try and take a look.

The home kit looking ok for me - but the away kit look like the one that York City wear last season & what happen to them

Looking as we sign a 2 year deal with Nike last season, its mean the deal finished next season & a another new kit for 2005-06 season, its has to stop & we should get Nike for the next 4 years or more so we don't get new kit every season. We are SOUTHEND UTD not MAN U.

Not really, i think ull find it was designed for Nike's Euro 2004 sides not for Southend United.

I believe that the Holland logo may also be on the socks where as we will just have Nike.

It's still as much 'off the peg' though... it's hardly been kept 'exclusive' for them, has it.

If the sock badges bother you, take up embroidery.

I think it looks like a well nice shirt much better than last seasons. Wouldnt the badge be in the middle as the nike tick is on the shoulder?

Probably blue like last season colours. Blue would be better anyway.

I think you'll find you're wrong (but what's new?).

These new kits are first launched with national squads (or are Brazil, who wear the same design, now in Euro 2004?

It's the same as when Nike launched the kit with the line at the back with the 'tea-bag' effect underneath it before WC 2002. What happened later? League clubs, like your dear ARSEnal used it.

So ARSEnal, by your reckoning, also have an 'off the peg' design!

Not really. Arsenal's kit was still specifically designed for them, even if it was designed in the style that Nike were currently using at the time.

Our kit hasn't been designed for us. Its a blank kit which you can pick up yourself easily enough, which we are getting our club badge and sponser put onto. That makes it 'off the peg'.

Which begs the question;-
how much for an off the peg shirt,
and one with a badge and an advertising logo (for which we are not subsidised being as we are advertising it)

..If I were being cynical of course.

I hope the badge will be on the left side. I always think shirts with the badge in the middle look cr*p.

I think that the blank shirts are about £15 to the public. Presumably cheaper for the club as they are buying in bulk. They'll no doubt knock them out to us mugs for £40.

I wouldn't mind if we hadn't had close to 30 kits in the last ten years.
