NEED HELP - Family & ticketing issues at RH

How much weight does the Trust bring to matters?

Did the club approach the Trust to get feedback on the proposed price increases in the family section before implementing?

Not having a go, just wondered about the reality of things. It seems the Trust meetings are with King & Wilshire rather than Martin.

King is in charge of the day to day running of the club! and yes the club do keep in very close contact regarding prices

Cannot get through to the ticket office, understandable, but just spoke to the girl on reception and she cannot understand why the blonde bird didnt sell me the ticket yesterday 10 mins before the general tickets went on sale, its a joke!!!!
Adamson does a spread in the echo telling people to come down to see footy but they wont sell me a seat i have purchased 10 times this season next to my 2 season ticket seats for my young son, the future of sufc!!!!!!
I WONDER WHY FAMILYS GO TO THE BIGGER CLUBS AND PAY TO WATCH THEM
KIDS WALK AROUND WITH WET SPAM SHIRTS ON COS THEY CANT GET A TICKET FOR THEIR LOCAL CLUB
ADAMSON SORT IT OUT MARKETING MANAGER!!

I WONDER WHY FAMILYS GO TO THE BIGGER CLUBS AND PAY TO WATCH THEM

League Position / TV Coverage / Trends

all factors in this!

COS I KNOW AT SOUTHEND TICKET OFFICE THEY DO NOT HELP THE FANS AND ARE JOBSWORTHS!

Matt who runs the Ticket office is a top bloke and has done lots for people and worked really hard to help people as much as possible!

Oh by the way your a jobsworth in your job too mate - I dont know what job you do but you are because I say you are!

Pathetic!

I have always found the ticket office staff to be very helpul and have never had a problem with them

I take back the jobsworth comment, sorry, but this situation would annoy anyone, all i wanted is a ticket next to my season seat with 5 mins before they went on general sale, its a seat i have bought many times this season for a junior fan

25/30 minute wait in the phone queue....served by a very helpful and polite lady...

perfectly good service once you get thro.

I guess on these occassions the system in place can never cope that easily but i wonder if they could open the main office as they did when the TO lost its cable connections to make more staff or compooters available to process peoples requests for tickets. Or indeed even the west or north east ticket offices.

ANy sorts of improvements from supporters should go through the trust so that they are organised.

If everyone with a complaint went directly to the club it makes it harder to control and ensure the right improvements are made.

While I see some of your logic; why cannot I follow up my complaint & issues then the club fly it past the STrust even TBV?

After all, I reserve my democratic right! :soapbox:

All I ask is that the people in this section say what is on their minds so I can at least make our club aware.

There has been posts of fans leaving the section and I wish to know why etc......

Dash

PS - many a PM about this to me has requested direct feedback also, which I find very heartening.

TBV will have no part in this thanks!

As a dad of a (almost) three year old lad I've never had any reason to moan. We've had our season tickets for the last two seasons and have already renewed for next

Of course dashman has the right to complain to the club, since when did the shrimperstrust become the arbitrator of complaints. not everyone who supports southend, is either a member of shrimpers trust or supports the shrimpers trust as for the comments, "it makes it harder to control" WTF

I find this all a bit strange, certainly when I made a complaint about the state of the ladies' loos in the family stand I made my issues known directly to the club and would never have considered going through the Trust first. I'm not aware that there is any need to, surely any individual has the right to raise their concerns directly?

Of course they have the right I only suggested if they want the club to take it seriously it mite be an idea to get some back up i.e the trust

I'm not a member of the trust... but just feel that if Dashman has got genuine concerns/issues then at least a casual chat to the Trust "may" be beneficial in case they have heard similar stuff from other fans/trust members. That way it adds weight to the case, and if it goes so far as to having the trust assist Dashman in taking it further then at least they have some experience and internal knowledge of the club which "may" help Dashmans cause.

Of course Dashman can do it alone, or with some help of SZ... I merely suggested that the trust may also be a good group to speak to as they deal with supporters issues and meet with the club on a regular basis. I doubt they, or anyone, would suggest they are the "arbitrator of complaints", but it makes sense in my eyes to run it past them, before taking it to the club. Of course the club will listen to the views of one fan... but by building some support for his case (as he has done on SZ) then it will probably make the club take more notice, and increase the chance of it being acted upon.

Why wouldnt the club ticket office sell me the seat next to my season ticket seat for fridays game?
I have bought that seat for my young son 9 times this season as i cannot afford a season seat for him, he comes along when i have the spare cash, but the ticket office would not sell me the seat last night at 4:50pm, considering the tickets go on general sale the day after and the office closed 10 mins later. They said i would have to make another trip or phone today at 9:30 to book it! Also have a 45 minute drive to the stadium
HAVE THEY EVER TRIED TO GET THROUGH ON THE PHONE WHEN A BIG GAME COMES ALONG!!
All i was asking was for a seat that in reality went on general sale 10 mins later, but they would not do it.
NOT VERY FAMILY FRIENDLY REALLY, I CAN BUY THE SEAT ANY OTHER TIME OF THE YEAR BUT NOT LAST NIGHT
.
.
.
Thats not really 'ten minutes' before they go on sale though.. its really the 'day before' they go on sale.. and if they start making exceptions then everyone will be looking to get them the day before..

Spoke to TO, very helpful and sorted me out a treat, thank you very much.

Thanks TO you restored my faith in customer relations

Never said he didnt have the right to complain.

It just makes sense for the Trust to be involved, its purpose is to work with the club on behalf of supporters after all.....

All views & thoughts are valid on this issue.

Chill out now, no one is getting above themselves!

I am still welcoming valid view points from all angles so I can bring these things up, no witch hunt & no axe to grind; so please forward your comments to me here or via PM.

Many thanks to all those thus far,

Dash (de indomitable!)
