Kick off? Was that the cats or the footie?
Ah, yes, the 'launch the cats from the top of the stairs and see if you can hit the front door' game. Always a favourite, but unfortunately I didn't have time.

I'd also have wondered who's kid it was, being as I don't have any.

Oh, you don't know about him yet.....

I quite like that cat game too but then me, the cats and the RSPCA have an understanding that cats don't come in my house.

Unfortunately they're the missus' cats and she keeps letting them back in.

Really? Damn her. I recommend you persist with the game and if she kicks up a stink, just say it's part of the Fire Felines For Fossetts Farm (FFFFF).

Either that or just explain that men and cats just weren't meant to be enclosed in the same space, claiming that kicking them is part of a natural survival instinct.

The Yoots had no problems. Left RH at 1/4 past 5 and was parked up exactly an hour later with a 10 minute stop. Into town for a KFC, stroll back towards the destination, a quick nod of the head to Ron Martion and in we go. Back at 12 with 3 other happy Yoots in tow ...

Arrived back at Ashford 7.40pm. By the time the wife and kids had a loo stop and loaded the car we eventually got out of the car park at 7.55. Intermittent BBC Essex 95.3 signal but still good enough for most of the trip back to the tunnel. Decided to switch to 103.5 this side of the tunnel for much better balanced commentary (these people have obviously kicked a ball in the past) and got home just in time for second half kick-off.

*ORM Sat Nav free travel tip - If you're ever going to Ashford International by car turn off at the junction signposted Ashford and ignore the sign to stay on the M20 to the next junction. The station is signposted about half a mile from the junction and you'll save yourself about 6 miles.

Fine thanks John.

I know this sounds really stupid and the more I think about it I just cannot believe it happened to be honest.

It just goes to show how far the blind faith in technology goes against all other common sense...

I left work at 2 got to southend east station at 3 met the mrs . After a quick strip and clothes change we were on our way to scumland. Got to colchester about 4.30 and parked up in some multi storey. Found o'neils and there we stayed to be joined by some fellow shrimperzoners. Unfortunately the burbery boys arrived and allthough there was no trouble the police came in and then decided to follow us all the way down to layer road. Watched the mighty blues beat the scummers in the usual fashion and the we managed to get the same treatment coming back about 20 police followed us for twenty minutes. Got back to the multi storey just after 11 to find that my £6 parking charge was free as the attendant has just gone home. Great night . How sweet it is to be a blues fans on nights like that
