Must sign 3 out of the 5 loanees

If we could get Sawyer and Harding I'd be very happy.

Federici is the Reading number 2, he played for them on Tuesday, and is the current aussie number 1. We won't be signing him.

Didn't Rednapp say he wanted to see if Christophe could develop in to a decent CM, so he appears to be in Rednapps long term plans.

Robson-Kanu is still part of Reading's plans, I think we would need to be in the CCC to get him permanently.

I think the goalkeeper was very poor. Came for crosses, caught the ball instead of punching it, generally was in position for shots and looked very comfortable. What was that all about? Totally different to what SUFC is used to of late and unacceptable. Send him back to Reading.

would happily sign them all, but I don't pay their wages!

Sawyer & Harding are musts if you ask me. Liked the goalie tonight. Thought his distribution was first class!

Betsy had another BLINDER!

to be honest i think harding is the only one we have any realistic chance of signing. I would love to see sawyer here for the rest of the season, but he is a very prized little gem at chelsea by what i have heard. Hemay never make it as a regular in there team but i could easily see him at someone like fulham or middlesborough as a full starter every wweek. Sickening how good some people are!

Federici - NO CHANCE, couldn't afford him in a million years, wages or fee.

Sawyer, wouldn'rt be able to afford teh fee.

Kanu - possibility, hopefully a yes.

Harding - again fee and wages could be an issue.

Christophe - I'm not convinced. Heading 1/10 distribution 5/10 and there is no way as long as his arse points downwards that he will feature in a premiership side as first choice, so a definite possibility!

if only Harry ... he'd certainly cost as much as Mike Marsh (ie our most expensive signing)

of that list i feel Harding is the only one we'd have a chance of keeping

IMO Sawer will be a VERY VERY good player in 2 years time worth 2/3millon. If Ron can sign him for around £400,000 it would be the best bit of buisness done in football since we signed Stan the Man from Palace.
But unfortunatly i cant see Chelski lettin him go. I would be happy to see him here for the rest of season, that would be us in the playoffs I feel.

Federici is not the number one for Australia. He is fourth or fifth behind Schwarzer, Petkovic and Covic.

If Federici impresses during our spell and given that he performed very well at the Olympics and he is out of contract as people say he is, then Championship clubs will be after him, maybe even Premier League given his performances against big teams in Cup competitions.

Sawyer will not get in at Chelsea, there are better players than him in their youth ranks.

No there aren't. Sawyer was Chelsea's #1 ranked talent and had he not had several serious injuries we'd have absolutely no chance of having him even on loan.

Harding I think we will make perm. Federici will go back to Reading at the end of the loan deal. The other 3 I would like think we would attempt to extend the loan spells for the rest of the season.

Very difficult situation to be in as at the moment we are looking better and better each game and the big fear is we are going to lose (potentially) half this side come January :(

Its all hindsight as I'm sure if we do, Tilly will line up some other gems, but the alternative is:-

GK. Mildenhall
RB. Francis
CB. Sankofa
CB. Clarke
LB. Barrett
RW. Betsy
CM. Grant
CM. Macca
LW. Walker
FW. Barnard
FW. Freedman

SUBS: Joyce, Herd, Moussa, Scannell, Revell

Doubt that side would get us near the play-offs.

Federici - absolutely 0 chance of signing, so lets enjoy his month here.

Harding - doubt we could afford him either - plus he's shown he's probably better than League 1

Sawyer - Still young, so *maybe* there is a chance. Dont think Chelsea would hold him back from joining a club for 1st team footie and he seems to like it here. Still see someone like Charlton or Palace coming in for him. Makes you wonder why Chelsea even bother with a youth team.

Kanu - Best chance IMO. Dont think he is CCC class and never really given a chance at Reading. If his deal is up, then we could make a move.

Christophe - Really rating him a lot - a great 'destroyer'. If Redknapp does like him, then I doubt we can keep him - but too be honest, is he going to get into Pompeys side? I doubt he will ever be that good to get in above Diarra, Diop, Davies et al.

maybe sawyer will break into the chelski first team, then they will ship deco out to us! ;)

Maybe...

Sorry Lee should've thought of that classic album, d'oh!:thump:

All five would improve our squad , I feel Christophe likely to step down onto the bench once Macca fully fit, a midfield of Macca and Sawyer would be excellent. Impressed with Harding and Kanu on the left and Federici looked more than solid last night but think Reading would not be looking let him go perminatly.

Can't see us signing Federeci as we already have a competent keeper under contract.

Harding would be a very good signing, but I think wages will be a problem, plus he'll probably be looking for championship football. Shame he's settled in well.

Sawyer is probably the most likely to sign. He hasn't had a sniff of the Chelsea first team and would have to get past the likes of Ballack, Deco, Ballard, Essien, Mikel plus no doubt a load of other youngsters. His personal circumstances mean that he'll probably prefer the certainty of a long term contract at Southend over a year-long extension at Chelsea. From a Chelsea point of view he looks good, but he doesn't look premier$hite good. Financially, he came through the youth system at Chelsea, so Chelsea don't have a transfer fee to recoup. As a youth team player/first year professional at Chelsea, his wages should affordable for us. Moreover, we don't have anyone like him in our squad since Gower left. It looks a good fit all-round.

Robson-Kanu might be available, but I think Reading would want another look at him before letting him leave. Unlike Chelsea, he wouldn't have half a dozen international players to get past to make it to their first team.

Christophe's wages are likely to too much for us, plus he'd be blocking Moussa's progress if he came here permanently.

On a separate note, we'd better not sign any more loanees as 5 is the maximum number in a match day squad (under football league rules)!
