Do Australia have a National Identity ?. They have only been going as a nation for about 300 years. After eliminating (some would call it Genocide) the natural Australians they then built their country on immigration. Once the people who wanted to go to Australia changed from being European to being Asian, they shut their doors...A real model for us all that one........

If that is what a lot of people thinking then why when it came to the General Election were the UKIP not voted in? A candidates vote is secret, did even the shy ones think they couldn't vote UKIP in case someone saw their choice?!

You probably could not have chosen a worse country in the world than Australia to single them out for pride of their national identity. Please can you elaborate that Australia do not "sell out to every other country in the world", but the United Kingdom do? (No offence to the guys in Oz on here!)

In the Koran it says that you must obey the laws of a non muslim country (other extremist take note ) and im pretty sure the Olympics isnt compulsary and professional atheltics have figured away round this problem ;) . But you know basic human greed and cunning twisting things to the inidividuals benifit gosh that's so new !!

I thought the IOC set the dates for the Olympics not the country holding it ?

The IOC should have been aware of the conflict in dates (the winter olympics has never concided with Xmas day) and either accounted for that in the dates or awarded that year to a more southerly country so it could be held later.
The Olympics should be available to all member countries on the terms.
