And Collin in the hole behind them.Gus should be the number 10 and Hayes the number 9. perfect combination but maher is to stubborn to listen to us fans
KAP can go in goal as he jumps around a bit.

Absolutely. Gus has something about him, how many headers has he scored yet he's one of our smallest players, he has that knack of being there at the right time and place. Isn't that what great strikers do?the problem isn't GSM not scoring, it's the strikers not scoring. if we sort that out we become a very, very different team
Dreadful is very harsh, but he's been really quite poor this season. Is awful defensively, thank god for Harry Taylor he carries a lot of Gus' slack, and yet is probably odds-on to get our Player of the season. It's a tough one because I think he's absolutely dreadful at everything except scoring goals.
Can't pass, can't cross, no vision, poor temperament, fades badly towards the end of games - and yet he's scored 13 goals this season - what to do!
The opposition known he's our top goalscorer, so they would be looking out for him. It would be good to know how many goals we have conceded down his side, to see if they see he is the weak linkGus is scoring so many goals because he is that extra unmarked man, ghosting in from the back of the right side of the goal. If he was a striker, he would be marked and muscled out of the game. I think he would score less goals as a marked striker.
They should be, and usually do about the first 20 minutes of a game. But then that eases off. If anyone has a compilation of his goals, look how many times he comes in from the back, totally unmarked. The opposition known he's our top goalscorer, so they would be looking out for him. It would be good to know how many goals we have conceded down his side, to see if they see he is the weak link
But wouldn't you normally try things out in a test environment rather than straight into live? That's not logic, why would you do that. Although he has gone in goal for us. Chris Sutton started life as a defender, but was switched upfront, and became a very successful striker.
Our coaching team, aren't for changing much, most of the substitutions are like for like. This could be our plan B.
I never understand why people never try things, my 3rd invention is going into retail this year, they only came about because I tried something different, its just a mindset.
If it doesn't work, nothing lost, but you never know till you try!
I would just love GW slotted into our team, I feel he would help defensively and allow Gus to concentrate on what he's good at. 15 mins at the end of a game wouldn’t hurt. As much as everyone wants to see who works well up front this is my favourite pairing. But wouldn't you normally try things out in a test environment rather than straight into live?
Maybe Gus has played upfront in training and/or friendly matches.
It's easier to mark a striker than a wing back, because a wing back runs the length of the pitch anyone marking them needs to be careful not to get pulled out of position. That's less of an issue for someone marking a striker because they'll usually stay high up the pitch where centre backs should be positioned anyway. The opposition known he's our top goalscorer, so they would be looking out for him. It would be good to know how many goals we have conceded down his side, to see if they see he is the weak link
Gus has played in goal! Brilliant Keeper.By that logic we should try sticking Gus in goal as well, how can we know if he's a good keeper until we try it?
The coaches see him in training every day, if they don't think he has the attributes of a striker then they'll know better than us.
A lot of his goals are headers and he is quite predatory in the box when an aerial chance presents itself. As noted already he is good at ghosting into scoring positions. At set pieces he benefits from the presence of our 'big lumps' (ie Hopper, Bonne etc) who keep defenders occupied. If he plays at the expense of the 'big lumps' will as many chances come his way?Won't work. He isn't strong enough to hold the ball up and would get pushed off the ball. He is effective where he is because he is able to come in late and ghost into the box when the defence is occupied
We need a(nother) PollMove Gus to play anywhere in a moving forward line, play George Wind Right wing back.
George is a very good player and should be in the team to progress more.
A roaming GSM,could be interesting!
What do you think?
