Move for Constantine?

I don't like the guy but (grudgingly) and in a cash plus player swap with Paynter I'd take him back, survival is all important this season. I also think he'd do alright with Freddy (if he stays) as nowadays he tends to play as a central striker as opposed to running into wide areas. Don't think Tilly would have him back though.

I would gladly have him back but at the moment with Bradbury looking quite dangerous is it worth having him?? Maybe if Bradbury hadn't scored 2 in 2, then I would of said yes. Maybe we could have him as a possible back up. Easily better than Harrold.

Why did the Barnsley deal fall through? He is another who has had a few clubs and often done well but none of those clibs worked particularly hard to keep him. You have to ask the why.

With regard to him leaving us, he was reportedly offered a salary he did not consider to be acceptable and went elsewhere, which proved to be a totaly disaster. It should also be noted that Peter Taylor (I think) stated his agent was trying to get him a move to Hull in February. Now, granted, that may have been without the consent of the player, but that is unlikely.

He is a transcient player, who, despite a decent record, nobody is ever bothered about losing.

Cash again as far as I can make out.
He wanted more than Barnsley were prepared to offer!

Didn't Hasselbaink top score for Atletico Madrid in the season they were relegated? Oddly enough, he also got 24 goals.

Survival and a goalscorer aren't necessarily correlated. There are plenty of other factors. I was grateful for what he did and he certainly scored some scorchers but I just wasn't convinced that he was indispensable to the club.

Andy Johnson was one of the top Scorers in the Premiership when Crystal Palace went down!
