Its actually £40million!
That is one of the craziest things I have EVER heard. Football is just nuts.
He's set for life, but give it a few months he'll join another top team and be earning millions per year. Crazy.
Its actually £40million!
I think City have lined up all those guys in the hope of getting him, but I'm not sure I'd consider it a done deal yet. Guardiola can basically take any job he wants so he'll be looking closely at the situations at all the big clubs. Man utd may have a vacancy soon and the caché of managing them is still far higher than it is managing City.
Maybe. I don't personally get why everyone considers Man Utd to be the Holy Grail. I'd much rather the city job, he'd get backed in every way he wanted and it wouldn't take much to be a legend at City, the spectre of Fergie is still very much there at united. Perhaps it comes from supporting a small club but I don't have this opinion that traditionaly large clubs have class and prestige and the new boys with new money are somehow crass, I love these billionaires coming in and turning smaller clubs into contenders and upsetting the establishment.
I agree to an extent; it's always hilarious when Manchester Utd fans accuse Chelsea or Manchester City of 'buying success'.
The Manchester united who have broken the bank over the years on...
Bryan Robson
Gary Pallister
Roy Keane
Andy Cole
Juan Sebastian Veron
Rio Ferdinand
Wayne Rooney
Dimitar Berbatov
Angel Di Maria
Etc. etc. etc.
But I do think that Man Utd do still have that attraction and prestige. Utterly crass to mention this, but having a load of players die in a horrendous plane crash helped with the creation of the Man Utd myth.
Football is plum loco,40 million to an already wealthy bloke is crackers.
JM and his spats with staff and players was surreal, reckon he will return to Real Madrid with another nutty contract.
