Most satisfying film scene

Mad Cyril

The Fresh Prince of Belfairs⭐⭐🦐
For me it has to be the scene in Scarface when Octavio the clown is blown away when the two hit men try to whack Tony in the nightclub.

Possibly the worst variety act I have ever seen however if I had been there with a gun I would have given him a chance to clear up his **** and leave first. I'm not an animal.

I think this whole thread might need spoiler alerts.

  Spoiler:
When Red and Andy Dufresne meet up again in Mexico:

spolier alert- Are there really people out there that have not seen Shawshank Reemption yet ?

I don't know if 'satisfying;' is the right word , but the next to final scene in 'Metro Manila' when you get to see the main characters plan is very moving. Brilliant film

The last scene of The Machinist is fantastic, and genuinely satisfying as you finally find out what the entire film is all about. I'm so glad I didn't give up on it, and watched it all the way to the end.

Actually, there's a bit in Halloween which is the defining scene in horror motifs. Michael is seemingly dead but then, well, you need to see it.

Apollo 13 when the mum kicks the media out because they shafted the live broadcast from 13 then demanded space to basically invade the family's life once it all goes to ****.

(Also, there's a quick three-shot scene of one of the kids at a military academy. They can't say anything but you damn well know they're there for him if it does go Pete Tong).

All 5' 2" of Alan Ladd beating up all the bad guys in Shane, and then riding off; the ultimate humble, thoroughly good guy, - (rather than a professional gunman killer).

Many have tried to remake the "Shane" role and it has yet to be topped.

Something that always stuck with me was a scene in 'The Third Man' where Joseph Cotton first catches sight of Orson Welles illuminated in a door way, the stark pale face with the mischievous grin, contrasting with the dark shadows and the slightly obscure angle (a constant feature throughout the film). This was a game changer for me when I was young and now I find most of my favorite films and scenes come from the black and white era.

Love that scene and the theme tune!

An unequalled score of originality, courtesy of Mr Karas, purveyor of all things zither, you've inspired me to dig out an old video an wallow in a moment of noir.

we used to play it in the car when the kids were young and the kids still love it.
