Couldnt give a **** who scores the winning goal am just happy of the three points!

I am properly one of the only people who feels we should of off loaded him to Blackpool when we had the chance then it would be there problem and not ours , as much as I like the guy and had done good to us I just feel this could get out of hand and cause us a right issue!

Another problem is if we had to let him go PS & TB will get it in the neck from the fans yet the only person to blame is Bilel himself.

I'd be surprised if we actually did get an offer. Not having a dig, just saying it's easy to slag someone off when they've had a bit of a **** week on and off the pitch!

Apart from the thread and poll on the specific subject ? First Hall now Bilel. Were any of our players involved in the recent riots so we can idolise them as well ? At least Hall has unquestioned ability. I'm struggling to see the positives but hey, keep clutching the straws.

I really only created that poll to gauge if people wanted him here on not. That fact that I said legend and 104 said yes speaks volumes.

if i go by anything that ive been told, he really did kick of in the tunnel after the orient game and could have got pretty serious.

yes the lad has a lot of passion and a winning drive which I love but slapping,jumping in and having to throw his toys around everytime he is kicked or even someone else is kick is not on, last season he caused/helped towards a couple of losses that we could of nicked a point from.

People need to look at the bigger picture and not just the fact he waves at you,talks to you, or replys on facebook to you

I think people are looking at the bigger picture though, because for me the bigger picture is that you can work on his temperament, and when that mental side is scaled down, he's going to play at a very high level and earn us a lot of money!

Of course the other bigger picture is, just get rid of him because he's never going to get better and even if he does, he won't be worth more than 100K.

Just hope that this can be sorted out! As we can't be completely sure if this is true !

You really are in a minority of one on that. McCarthy ruined Eastwood by trying to shoe-horn him into a system for which he was ill-suited.

I don't disagree that there's a certain unmanageable quality about Freddy, and that (as a result) he'd only really flourish in a side who were short of options up top and could give him licence to roam. But, frankly, he's easily good enough for such a side (e.g. Doncaster, Barnsley) in the Championship; and miles better than any striker we've had at Roots Hall since SVC.

The problem with your Freddy arguments is that his sheer stats - 59 goals in 130 appearances, or almost a goal every other game - just make you look a bit unbalanced when, on most things - e.g. Maher, Barrett - you're mostly right.

As for Bilel - he's not the messiah, he's just a very naughty boy. He's also quite intriguing and enchanting, and there could be a good player there if we can sort his head out. But that's a big if. But he's, potentially, a heck of a footballer - tall, fast, good in the air, good in the deck. And if you can't enjoy his sheer schoolboy enthusiasm, you ought to be checking for a pulse.

But do I think he's the best thing since sliced bread (or, in the defending deparment, Spinner)? No.

Matt, don't get me wrong. I would LOVE him to make the grade. As someone thrown in up front with 20 minutes to go he can terrorise the bejeezus out of tired defenders. As a central defender at the moment, no thanks. We have three better natural centre-backs plus Prosser. Farm him out to the conference for 3 months with a no-nonsense gaffer in a club full of old ex pros that won't take any fun and games.

I also won't deny that he gets the fans buzzing and no-one jumped higher than me on the first goal of the season. I still can't buy into the adulation and euphoria. Difference between him and Barrett is age and potential. He has had enough time. Now he has to show it, show some maturity or get out. We're not in the luxurious position of carrying players. Had enough of that under Tilly with Che Wilson !
