Woodyard played in the JPT that was it. Id give him a go on tuesday, being a natural centre mid. Otherwise its square pegs in round holes. Leonard and Spicer are not justifying their inclusions this season. Spicer is living off past reputation and Leonard seems to be living off a long throw (which I can only ever recall being effective at Rotherham last season).

Timlin is such a key player at the mo, we need another 2 or 3 of him thats the problem!

I agree - I would rather see Woodyard given a go in the middle ........ and if it is too much for him, then bring on a sub and/or change the formation - but better to start that way ....... well, that's my approach anyway!

Desperately disappointing display after doing so well the previous week
We did seem to play far too deep, either by choice or because Morecambe pushed us back or maybe a bit of both. Playing Assombalonga upfront on his own and hitting long balls to him when he was marked by 2 or 3 players all the time did not work. Tomlin could not get into the game (not sure exactly what his role on the day was supposed to be) and the match seemed to be crying out for him to be replaced by Freddy.
Morecambe did play a lot of good short passes though there was an unpleasant niggly aspect to their game throughout. Couldn't see the red card incident but if the ref or lino had been a bit stronger early on instead of waiting to injury time when they were 1-0 up, maybe things could have been different

Trouble is neither Spicer or Woodyard actually tackle to win the ball like Timlin does. They both run around like headless chickens with no end result i.e. getting the bl**dy ball back!

Spicer yes.
Woodyard - surely give the kid a chance first before you decide what type of player he is.

Surely it's the physio who decides whether a player is fit to continue and risks further injury by continuing?

That's true, but in this case the whole world could see that he couldn't play on, and could only damage the ankle even more, which happened. Common sense would tell the manager to get him off as quick as possible.
