Once mohsni settled last night he was fine, unfortunately he didnt have the luxury of settling before he had to make a big decision/tackle, it wasnt petulance or being rubbish he just wasnt up to speed, should have started and then there number 23 wouldnt have dominated in the air so much. Lets support the lad and show some patience he will come good
I actually thought he was late in the tackle because he was expecting the ref to blow for a foul on Barker. Fair enough, play to the whistle and all that but by the time Bil realised the whistle wasn't coming he was in a **** or bust scenario. Unfortunately he hit both buttons.

I find all this so depressing.

Is it not Sturrocks job to man manage and nurture the younger players ? Large case of passing the buck going on here, Sturrock is a vastly experienced manager and ex-player and he above everybody else should be able to see that it's worth going the extra mile with this player for a number of reasons, the main two being.

1 - If he can get him sorted he could be the difference between a play off place and an automatic promotion slot.

2 - If he can get him sorted and get a couple of good seasons out of him he could be worth a fortune, unfortunately we will have to wheel and deal in our financial predicament so developing those with the most potential and cashing in must take priority.

I hope if the club have fined him, they put that money towards trying to get the lad some professional help but sadly I doubt the club has the foresight to do something so simple. If this was a seasoned pro acting like a prat i'd be the first to say ship him out but we have a duty of care here and are in danger of cutting off our nose to spite our face.

Absolutely agree, it is depressing. I trust Sturrock to do the right thing and Moshni's lack of stability occassionally is more than worth putting up with as without him i'd find the Blues far more boring to watch.

I don't get this complete liability thing. He made a mistake yesterday, OK fine, but all players do that, and you could see that he was absolutely gutted about it. (fair play to NH as well for telling him not to worry). But I don't see where else it's come from. He was fine against Hereford, did well against Orient, and probably didn't deserve the booking he got in that game, and he didn't play against Accrington.

What about against Ipswich when he was getting riled up and ultimately subbed in a friendly.

Moshni IS a liability, all he takes is a bit of a late challenge and he over reacts and it then affects him for a fair while after.

Every game I see him play he gets involved and he needs to calm down and play like a professional, not a Sunday Sceptre League Pub footballer.

God we do love slating some of our best players on here don't we

Its not slating him for criticising him on what is a pretty obvious problem with his approach.

He is one of the brightest talents at the club and is well appreciated by supporters however that doesnt mean he should be excused behaviour that he has shown.

Moshni seems fantastic when everything is going well (Mainly at home when the fans are getting behind the team) but seems to struggle when away from home when the majority of support will be on his back or when morale is down.

well well well! In all honesty, two things are being missed here......last season (Ramadan) Mohsni played a blinder at Wolves but then had a stinker against Northampton. It was Ramadan and he was dropped. He came back weeks later a much better player. Whether we like it or not, and whether he has anger management issues or not, Ramadan is a difficult time for athletes and we cannot discount this as a factor. What I am saying is, this isnt that much diffeeent from last season, just that we know the player better now. Also, stop slating Mohsni for last night. He gave away a penalty, sure, but if Clohessy had been where he should have been all night (in the right back slot), I doubt that the ball would have got anywhere near Mohsni! All 3 goals came from Crawley's left wing. I cannot recall one attack developing down their right. Now I am a big fan of Sean but last night he was simply awful! this happens....move on!!

games are not one and lost by one player, it is done by a team.

Or even won... lol

If you saw him away at Accrington last season, you would see him as a liablity, reckless tackling, lack of football intelligence, a childish tantrum after he gave away a penalty, that led to a second yellow and a deserved red card.

And if you saw him v Wolves, Accrington (home), Macclesfield and a ton of other games I can't recall you would see him as Mr Entertainment and an asset this club couldn't be without.

He is worth the admission money on his own and of course is as likely to drop a massive clanger or get sent off as he is get a match winning goal or make a last ditch tackle.

As opposed to most of our squad who are perhaps less likely to make mistakes (but will still do so sometimes - this is league 2) but also don't inject the same level of passion and enthusiasm as Bil does.

Whilst the good outweighs the bad, we should persevere.

To be fair to Bilel, no matter what you think of him, he played with his heart when he came on last night.

Which is a lot more that can be said for all the others that pulled on the Southend shirt at Crawley...

Being made a scapegoat every time something goes wrong won't help either. The sooner Blair & Corr are fit, the better. The idiots can go back to slagging them off & and leave Bilel alone!
