You'd think if we was skint that we'd sign someone with a shorter name to save money on number printing etc - lastsigning was a double barrelled name too .

A name like Demba Ba would be more apt in our current state .

The longer the name , the more money we can get on shirt printing for fans .................

Great stuff. Just what we need I think.

Not sure about this as having been to the last 2 games the most lacking part of our game was the ability to break the opposition down or string any meaningful attacking passes together.

Assuming that he has been signed to play in midfield then this appears to be a midfield that lacks any creativity at all.

Does he bring anything different to Laird and Woodyard?

A big upgrade over Woodyard and would give us the solidity to play Hurst and Martin out wide and to let Clohessy get forward.

Not sure I like the idea of two unfit central-midfielders though as we'd be very vulnerable second half.

Good news if you ask me. We need some some of physical unit in the middle and he is it IMO.

Guess that answers the question I posed about him on the 'run the rule over' thread. We may not have a convoy but we are starting to have a midfield again.............thank God!

I think teams have been cutting through us at will and a good solid defensive player can spring defence into attack. Agreed we do need a decent passer but I think Laird could do that potentially. I also think we need more width.

Really? Not happy with Martin or Hurst then? Appreciate that neither are as good as Ryan Hall at the moment, but thought they were doing ok...
