mitchell cole

If Cobblers want him on a permanant basis i think we will be in a positiion to get more money for him as opposed to him sitting on our bench week after week .........as from there he cannot show his ability.....so IMO it cuts both ways ...if we need him he's match fit....and as he is desired by another club bang on the pound signs.....

But I think we need him now, we have a tiny squad now so how can we think of selling. It must give Cole a sense of not being wanted, I can see him putting in a transfer request, and how could you blame him. If he can't get in our under performing side there aint much hope for him here..

His still very young and has alot to learn and i think this brief loan spell will help his game alot. I wouldn't want to see him go as i think he has alot of protential.

I really can't see us letting him go permanently myself and I hope that is the case.

It'll do him good to be playing week in week out and supposedly he was outstanding at Bournemouth last week.

Mitchell Cole has buckets of potential, and I really really really hope he doesn't leave, which I don't think he will, as it would just bite us right back.

"His loan spell is now due to last until the first round of the FA Cup, but Southend can recall him at any time."

BBC Sport

As far as I can see I'm happy for him to go as we can bring him back!

Well, he's scored A goal for us.....

A memorable one against Col U too

His biggest strength for us is coming on for twenty minutes to go, but if the loan helps him become stronger so he can last 90 minutes then Im happy for him to stay there as long as its not permanent.

I'm still happier with him out on loan. IMO, he's not yet got enough confidence to be good enough in this league but playing and playing well at Northampton must do wonders for his confidence and experience.

Another month and I feel he will develop in to a far better player than another month sat on our bench thrown on when there's little chance of being a match-winner.

Personally, I think that the possible (I'm still waiting til I see it confirmed on OS personally) loss of Ricketts would have little to no impact on Mitchell's required presence at the club.

ok then, what if a youth/type player appears on the bench in a couple of games time, what would that say to Cole. At the moment it must be all hands to the pump, to help us out of this slump in form. Who knows the boy might have gained confidence already

Get him back, put him and JCR on the wings and move Gower to where I think he would be best, in the middle. That should create plenty of chances for our front two.
