mitchell cole

Maybe paper talk but if I was Tilly I wouldn't let Mitch go.

We need attacking options due to recent results,Cole can bring something extra to the side,he just needs to work on his final ball into the box IMO..

i hope for his sake that he doesnt stay there, i firmly believe he has a future at southend and can definitely compete in the championship. if he carries on progressing like he has in the last couple of years he is going to be a quality player. southend would be really dumb to let him leave cheaply if at all

I want to get him back, we sent him there to get confidence, and that certainly seems to have worked!!

Get him back, get him playing, great last 30 minute sub at least!!

Or gower on the right,Mitch on the left, Jamal in Jamaica

I think we could do with him back now as well and agree even if it was for the last 30 minutes, but if Tilly doesnt want to play him then its good he is making an impression there.

Hope we dont sell him though, he can be frustrating and a big girls blouse but has already shown glimpses he can be an exciting player.

If he has no chance of starting for us, I think it is in everyone's best long term interests to leave him at Northampton where he is impressing them, getting regular football and building his confidence.

Yes, we could do with attacking options but more bench time (or worse) would probably sap his confidence in no time.

let him stay there I say....

No going to start with us at the moment so let him get used to playing week in week out......He never looked fit enough to finish when i have seen him,

Good player but just not ready for us yet.

I think he's probably been kissing the Northampton shirt.

Played v Bournemouth last week. Asked my pupils at the school I teach at in Bournemouth to look out for him. They said he was class - far too good to play for Southend apparently. Whilst I accept they know little about football I look forward to his return.

I see no problems in seeing him stay there for a little bit longer - isn't as if he's gonna walk back into the first team in the near future.

I'm sure the management team are keeping an eye on his form and if he keeps producing the goods it may just force him back into the first team picture here. I'm sure if he's doing that well we won't want to let him go permanently.

Get him back right now. It will solve all our defensive problems from set pieces in an instant.

I cannot understand this, we are out of form at the moment, one of our players is getting good reviews playing on loan... why the f*ck is he staying there another month. If we have another **** poor showing against cov on friday, I will be wondering if Steve has what it takes in this division. I don't want to knock Stevie for all he's done but this in my opinion is another bad move by him this year, I hope it don't continue.... I for one would send JCR on loan instead of cole.

But now we can recall him as he has had a month there so if we decide he's needed we'll just give him the call, obviously tilly n brush just wanted him to gain even more confidence while away, instead of bringing him back to Roots Hall just to sit on the bench.

Id like to have him on the bench, however its also useful for him to be getting first team experience as well so as long as he is playing every game its got to be good for us in the long run.
