I'm not surprised! Playing on the wing in a 4-2-2 would challenge anyone's abilities!!! :smile:
 
So far so good, I even played 4-3-3 with the same team Vs Exeter on Fifa 14, worked very well. It's be interesting when everyone is fully fit. We might not need Thompson if Bennett is near fitness by the time Thompson loan deal run out.
 
I’ve considered this and can’t actually answer it! We have some really good options! The only one who would 100% get in for me is Hurst because he creates more than the others, I’d then have one of Clifford or Leonard for their dynamism and one of Timlin or Laird for their experience and organisation. Straker and Atkinson I have discounted as I see them as playing in the front 3 and Jack Payne is great to have as an option off the bench.

Do we need another midfielder?

Only just got Laird back and Timlin seems to be imposing himself on the squad again.

Cant even see us being able to bring a player in at the moment due to embargo.

Atkinson - Timlin
Hurst - Straker

I know we're on a good little run with this midfield 5 but I genuinely I feel that this gives us the best balance. Leonard gives a great wall for the back 4, Timlin and Atkinson although not the same player offer us that 100% effort and workrate per game, Hurst offers us some quality delivery and creativity and Straker, although not a world beater, gives us an outlet of pace, CAN beat his man, and also works brilliantly with Coker, dropping back when needed.

Laird and Clifford have quality, but will not get in this team at present IMO.
