It's been 11 weeks since the accident and they are still trying to wake him up. Does anyone have an idea of what sort of affect this will have on him having been in a coma for so long?

Slight signs of improvement reported today. I think it's pretty fair to say that expectations are not very high and that, if he does survive, his quality of life will be severely impaired.
 
Great news about Michael today and Gary Hartstein's blog says this really is great news.

Really pleased for him and for the family who must have been through a really traumatic time. Not out of the woods yet by any stretch, but hopefully on the long road to recovery.
