No one wants this.

It's just that some patience is a spectrum. Some people would back Maher if we were relegated out of Ithsmian South and others **** the bed and demand the manager's head when Noor Husin starts in midfield.
Where do you stand? Are you happy forking out £400 for a “free hit” season?

If we had played like this last year, I think the club would have died. There would have been no football this season. I think I'm lucky I have a club to spend £400 on.

I wish we had played better, scored more and conceded fewer over the games so far but we enter Feb 4 points off the playoffs with 18 games to play. The fat lady has only just arrived at the theatre door.

I don't believe sport is entertainment, it is competition. The goal is to win, to win well is only a secondary objective. I pay my money feeling that I am not owed entertainment (but I acknowledge that this is unlikely to be a majority view). If I wanted that, I would go to the cinema or a gig.

I am trying to be philosophical about the situation. It is hard but I believe that the manager is trying his best and some of the players have come to the end of their time with us (various reasons). I maintain that with positive transfer activity in the summer (in and out) we should be a force next season. The rest of this season does feel like a free hit, we are 13 points and 9 places above the relegation zone so only a real downturn in form would see us get sucked into real danger.

If it were a horse race, and we all had an each-way bet, you wouldn't count us out as we begin the final turn onto the home straight. Let's see where we are at the end of March.
