Certainly, I'll forward it to him, same as I did before with the Appreciation Thread we had.

come on alan you know you are the best, i am so glad that you are back, we are now going to show league 1 how good we are come on you blues get ready for the championship

As much as I love Macca I wouldn't drop Sawyer or Christophe at the moment, looked well balanced in the centre last night. Great to have Mac pushing them for his spot though as this will only benefit the team.

Would play him away from home as feel he adds a bit more steel to the midfield and we are fairly easy to roll over away from home if we concead first , glad i'm not the one who has to make these desicions but thats what a manager gets paid to do and its not a bad problem to have as a manager.

surprised he didn't say

I don't, ok? Just sent him a message last night saying how good it was to see him back and fit, and that I hoped the reception he got showed how much he's appreciated. He's been good enough to reply and ask for his thanks to be extended.

Great to have you back on the pitch last night Alan. Fully deserving of such an ovation. Hope you saw the Irish flag up in the North West corner - I picked a good one to travel over for!

Well done on overcoming the injury, and hopefully now you can all kick on together and keep climbing the table.

All the best lad.

The whole team made my first return journey to Southend this season worthwhile with last night's performance. but for me the night was topped off by the return of Macca.

Great to see him back in a blue shirt and lets hope his promise of getting us back in contention happens soon!

Great to have him back last night, just what we need now we are on a roll... i know i was bloody knackered after all that drumming... well worth it tho.

Whilst there is a certain campaign in football to get respect without earning it, the ovation for Macca last night proved the point you can't demand respect, the ONLY way you get it, is through earning it. Macca has earnt the respect of the crowd in both his spells at the club, and it's nice to be able to demonstrate what he means to this club. I for one hope he is here for many, many years to come!

It was a thoroughly deserved ovation, and here's hoping its just the latest in a long long line of them

Welcome back Macca !!!!!!
