Matthew Dennis

Scored his first league goal since scoring the winner against Col Ewe back in August.

Jack Payne was also in the Franchise FC XI. Stephen McLaughlin came on as sub for opponents Mansfield.

Would have loved to have seen him back here personally. Maybe he may be on our wish list for Jan? Good signing at this level I would think.
Would much rather stick with Pepple. His goal celebration in front of the West side boys on Saturday and his interview the other week speaks for itself.

Dennis celebrating on his own and his lack of reaction when a team mate scored also says a lot.

I would hope the experience of not making it at Norwich and possibly MK Dons, would create a period of reflection and willingness to drop down to regroup and push his career forward again.

Obviously if we were interested he would go through the scouting assessment. Our difference is, we know what he is capable of.

If he turned up here again I'd give him a chance, because he fits with what we know of our scouting criteria. Aged 22, delivered at a higher level, with us, and would have passed any questions about temperament, willingness to buy into the club ethos and be the type of player who could help us progress if all the above were met and if he hit it off with us, young enough to develop and then we could sell on and make a handsome profit.

His loan spell at Rochdale is only until Jan, so has he or MK Dons got something lined up for him then?

It'll be interesting to see how he does at 'Dale, what their fans think of him and what Jan holds for him.

Come on for Dale to replace a midfielder. Tamworth were holding them comfortably until an off the ball sending off which no one saw nor cameras caught. Since conceded 3 quick goals.
