That's mad money for a L1 club. Don't get me wrong he's a quality player, but completely unproven above L2.

I'd assume there was a hefty promotion add-on for sure.

Would we take that for Ryan Hall...? Surely we'd be silly not to despite his importance?

(purely hypothetical quesion obviously)

I think we would, and being honest we'd be silly not to .. i know it would seriously affect our promotion chances but that is a hell of a lot of money for a club our size in this day and age (Bosman etc...)

I've read (admittedly from gobshite Evans) that Tubbs had been courted by clubs from the Championship so the move to Bournemouth is a bit leftfield .. obviously the fact he's a Cherries fan is pivotal but most players want to test themselves at the highest level they can

I read something in the summer that he got the right ache when they refused him permission to speak to Palace.

If he was going to move I'd have thought it would have been to the Championship.

I've just spoken to a Crawley ST holder in my office, he's not too disappointed as they've apparently signed Frank Nouble from West ham as his replacement - unsure of transfer fee.

6 in 14 on loan to Gills, not exactly set the world alight for West ham or his other loan deals, but a decent signing for League 2. Now whose throwing money around like confetti.

Good news. I can understand why he's gone. They're a bigger club (albeit not by much), higher league but the biggest draw will definitely be that it's his boyhood club. Wouldn't you guys sign for Southend if you were playing in the league below and they came in for you?

Really glad about that though, would love to see Barnett go as well but can't see it happening, they'd be mad to sell both (although if they bring in replacements of Nouble's stature they'll do alright).

Excellent bit of news that. Completely came as a surprise when I read it. Hope he does well for Bradbury and gets them promotion.

Its a blow to them but they didnt get to the top of the league on one player alone. Signing Sanchez Watt and Frank Nouble is a good replacement anyway.

Nouble sounds a good prospect, but 9 goals isn't something to get too excited about, and when you're desperate to go up it sounds like a bit of a gamble to me.

Bournemouth are minted now though, I believe they have been taken over by multi-millionaire Russian oil tycoons.....

Maxim Demin a Russian Millionare brought a 50% stake in the Cherries for £850,000.00 to share control with co owner Eddie Mitchell they both have houses on the exclusive Sandbanks Development - I belive Harry Redknapp has a house there as well
