Matt Paterson

Good finish indeed.

Have heard good things about him, he has potential apparently and seems good enough for this level, but can't see him becoming a permanent fixture in the first team at St. Mary's.

Looks like we got him coming back from Southampton as part of the Barnard deal.. Anyone know what he's like???

a fair few of the saints fans are rather upset about him coming to us, highly thought of as a good prospect, will tilly start with spencer and paterson on saturday?

Hopefully he will continue the tradition of strikers scoring on their debuts for us- Barney, Walker, O Donovan, Spencer all recently.

Saints supporting pal at work rates him highly , product of the youth academy and is actually fairly quick to which is a bonus as he is also tall with a good touch on him .

By the sound of it and without getting carried away he sounds like a version of Revell who has a touch and can get goals , so seeing as we would of lost Banard anyway come the summer , so its as good as we could of hoped for .

agree with this, he sounds a useful player and if the Saints are sad to see him go, then that's good enough for me!

Sounds positive and he is going to be involved regularly by the sound of it - lets get 110% behind the lad!

MATT Paterson believes his switch to Southend United is a great opportunity for him to further his career.

Which translated means that he hopes he can get enough games and score enough goals so he never has to play for another team with "South" in their name ;)
