Matt Lockwood

He's 32 in October so if these rumours are true it he's only likely to be a one season or two at max player for us. Signing him would seem to be at odds with the type of player we have been going for more recently ie in early rather than later stages of career.
Maybe he would be seen as a stop-gap until Johnny Herd is ready for regular first team spot

I've never been too sure what to make of Lockwood. He's undoubtedly a very talented player on the ball and useful for set pieces but has always looked a bit dodgy defensively to me. So basically it would be like signing an older Steve Hammell. He'd definitely be an upgrade on Che, though, assuming he leaves in the summer.

i like the bit on the BBC where it says he hasn't spoken to Col ewe yet, is that because he can't talk sheep yet.

Col Eww are putting down an offer for him i heard on the radio!

Oh well! Not the end of the world is it, I wouldn't want him anyway.

He's had an awful season up here at Forest, whether or not that was down to fitness problems or a pure lack of desire remains to be seen.
Decent player in his day but that was probably 5 years ago now, stay clear.
