A Bit of Fun Marquee Signing

Goodliffe has played in the National league for Boreham Wood, Daggers and Sutton United in the past I don't think he would mind playing there next season if the terms were ok because all he really wants to do is play! Obviously if you get promoted back to the league 2 your club would be much more attractive to Ben and many others.
Would we want Ben in L2 - if he's not good enough to get into a current L2 team? I get we'd be more attractive, but conversely he'd be less attractive to us?

Valid point. It feels like Goodliffe if we stay in the NL and Golding if we get promoted. I'm not saying we wouldn't go for Golding if we remain in the NL, but we are more likely to get him in L2. I also feel he's better suited to league football too.

Ben was unlucky because he got that injury at Wimbledon and we signed young Aaron Donnelly on loan from Forest just to tide us over until Ben came back. Unfortunately for Ben Aaron was great and far too good for league 2, he just couldn’t get back into the side as the other central defender was Tom Flanagan who was team captain. We lost Aaron to a Forest recall in January because they sold him to Dundee. Ben’s lack of 1st team action meant we chose to use Fiacre Kelleher instead and he slotted in so well it was decided to loan Ben out for game time. I think he is easily good enough for league two and we may well bring him back to us for next season.
