Mark Gower: Question

Gower definitely off to Swansea - friend heard it from the horses mouth when he dropped the kids off at school this morning.

Good luck Marky G and thanks for the memories

If its the case so be it...Shame think a few that canned him will realise what a top player he was....Good luck G-Man.

I think Gower will be more missed than Bailey if they both leave this summer.

People don't realise what a good player he is for us when he's on form.

Good luck G man.

Yeah, he has had his haters on here, but I get the feeling that was more down to his inconsistency in form than anything? Though ironically, that was probably down to the people on here...

He's a superb player. That cut above in terms of ability when he shows up (which he more often than not does). If this is true, he'll be a very hard act to follow...

Shame to see him go but i think we got his best years - just need to make sure we get a decent replacement which will be the toughest thing.

At least he is going to a higher club, not just leaving for more dosh to a rival, then coming back to the Hall and scoring the winner against us.

If he is going then I'm gutted, a great player, creates & scores goals.

Good luck to him though he deserves another shot at the Championship.

Assuming Gower does leave, I think we should go for Cheltenham's Steven Gillespie as a replacement.

A decent call I think.

Think you will find someone has already bid for him - Chelts turned down a bid for him this week. Not saying a) we couldnt get him of b) it wasnt us in the first place.

Not for the £400,000 at least that they're demanding though surely...............

If we wont pay £150,000 for Mulgrew i seriously doubt that we are going tp pay £400,000 for someone else.

I somehow think that most of our signings will be from free transfers, and some being loan singings.

Would be a shame too see Gower go, although he is very frustrating letting the ball roll under his foot after a magnificent cross field ball from someone! but he is still our most creative player and will be hard to replace.

Fair enough, I had no idea that Cheltenham were pricing him that highly. I thought he'd cost somewhere between 200 and 250k.

Yeah, Carlisle have just had a bid of £325,000 + add ons rejected. Crazy isn't it.
