Stop the press. Hold the front page! ................I'm stunned, totally stunned.

For once and for the first time ever I actually agree with ORM. For me Maher was immence. His calmness, vision and ability to spray the ball out wide as well as getting stuck in when needed was first class and swayed it for me.

maher was superb but gower gets my vote, looked our most dangerous player and just gets better and better. we all know maher is a class act but im sure i wasnt the only one worried about marky g before the start of the season

The G-Man all day for me. Ran the show....Maher and Flavs were superb as well...

Finally - Sad not to see Steve Hammell as an option as I hought he was truely superb as well.

Flavs for me closely followed by Maher/Barrett/Gower.. Just thought in the 2nd half when they started playing a bit before we scored our second goal - Flavs kept us in it... Did everything right..

What did the Romans do for us?

I think it's fantastic that there's so much debate about MOM and the votes are so well distributed. Just goes to show what a good team performance it was.

ennnnh baffling....

Barrett is the clearest MOM in a long while
Gower was dangerous the whole game and ran his b******s off for 90 minutes.

They could not cope with him at all. AB scored a couple of goals, but his 2nd could've been scored by my nan! Defensively he was soud but not enough to win the MotM Award.

Thought his distribution was superior to Francis and his all round play was excellent, I'd have him up with Barrett, Gower and Maher.

Gower and Barrett both played fab. Don't think Bradbury should have got it.

Gower - He never stopped running, even when we looked home and dry. His passes were excellent, and he was never afraid to give their keeper a test from range.

Yea, I know, far too harsh.

I've tried to point out elsewhere that I don't doubt his commitment and never say die attitude and I'll try to be a bit more subjective in future. I just think he is tactically inept and at this level will be (has been) found out.

I don't disagree in the sense that every season I think - I think Adam found his level last season and I wonder (no I doubt) he can hack it this season. Then he proves me wrong. However I do know that when the chapter of the last 3 seasons is written in the great book (the history of the Blues) he will be a seen as a major part of our rise with his do or die spirit which is infectious. I think the fantastic team spirit is in part down to him. Our rise in my view started with his first appearance v the "ammers . We've never looked back. To me he's a legend already. I know he'll prove me wrong again this season because he's that sort of fella.
