Let‘s not talk anymore about last Saturday, let’s look forward to a good end to the league season, with an away game at Maidenhead preceding three consecutive home games.
The Magpies have been in this division since the 2017/18 season but are in danger of dropping back down to the National League South as they currently occupy 22nd place in the league in the relegation zone. Their form over the last 6 league games is a mirror image of our own with 2 wins and 4 defeats (compared to our 4 wins and 2 defeats) - draw incoming anyone?

They have former West Ham player Alan Devonshire as their manager and if he makes it to May this year, he'll be celebrating 10 years at the helm there. They have been playing football at their current ground, York Road, since 1871 - it's just a shame they've not made any ground improvements since then! Wikipedia tells me that their chairman is Peter Griffin (pictured below).

They have a few familiar faces in their squad in midfielders Kane Ferdinand, Nathan Ferguson and Sam Barratt along with former loanee forward Shawn McCoulsky. Ferguson and McCoulsky started their last game (a 3-0 defeat at Barnet), Ferdinand and Barratt (who was presumably at home drawing on trainers) were not involved in the matchday squad.
There can be no doubt that Kev needs to somehow shake things up after the Sittingbourne debacle. He definitely has a different option in midfield in Leon Chambers-Parillon and will possibly also have a new goalkeeping option in Nick Hayes, if rumours are to be believed. James Golding was left on the bench last Saturday after being impressive in our previous couple of games and he somehow needs to work out the best combination upfront.
Gus went off injured last Saturday and it may be another opportunity for George Wind. Miley and Husin were not in the squad last Saturday but there has so far been a lack of official updates on their availability so I’ve left them in the poll for now.
So who would you choose to start at Maidenhead and what do you think the result will be?
