Very happy with that but Brown needs to play him. We don't want another Liptak situation

C'mon, just because they were foreign doesn't mean they're the same situation. Liptak was about 22, very raw and didn't speak very good English. Ibenfeldt is 29, moving over with family, has played a lot of football and appears to speak good English judging by his interview.

He'll play if he earns a place.

Very good player.
Not a rough diamond, 29 years old and a regular at Danish First Division level which is part of why he looks assured- he probably is certainly at our level.
Very good business.

Was he a regular? He played 14 times last year from what I can gather and at his previous club he seemed to play high 20s (although they probably play fewer games in a season).

Here's a video of him

Here's his full playing record - last 4 seasons in the Danish second tier for two different clubs. He only played 14 games last season but left there at the end of March to come over to London so that may explain the lower number of games. The club he was with last season is the bigger of the two clubs (decent pedigree, former league champions and cup winners although not in recent times). So I guess for Mads it was like moving from Bournemouth to Sheffield Wednesday - same division but bigger club! Obviously now he's signed for the Thames Estuary Galacticos it's another step up! :winking:

Does this mean we can now stop with the paranoid insinuations of "what might be going on" ?

(PS for the paranoid, we could still be under embargo if that helps )

No not really because they are all last minute and I would imagine nothing like PB's first choices. Credit to Phil, huge question mark over Bouffant Martini still.

AB are a good club. I saw them play Lyngby at home in Premier league. Mind you that was quite a while ago.

Its a higher standard that many realize- at 29 he's not a gamble
here is my prediction he will play 35 plus games

Very impressed with his interview, he seems smart and friendly and ready for action. I just hope he's ready for a tough game on Saturday cos that might be a bit of a shock.

Yep - first game at Accers - welcome to the long battle that is a season in Division 4 - especially if the pitch is a pudding in the middle of August. :stunned:

According to Phil Brown's interview, Mads first came to his attention on LinkedIn of all places! Didn't know footballers used LinkedIn.
