Macca Interview on OS

shaneyshrimper

First XI
Has anyone else seen the interview on the OS. Did they all get a rocket up their *** in the dressing room or what.

It seems Tilly may have some balls after all. Tilly didnt say anything about the dressing room b****king but Macca definitely stated they had "words" and needed to sort it out.

Thanks Macca for the honesty!!!

ps.
Love to have seen OBL's face after he scored on saturday

I think he said what happens in the dressing room stays in the dressing room. So Tilson could have rocketed them.

My mates son had a footie match at the field next to Boots and Laces yesterday and he said the squad were training. He seemed to think they were divided into 2 groups where one group (including Barrett) were doing light exercises and the other group were getting a bit of a beasting!! Might have been split by "good boys" and bad boys". Was suprised they were training though seeing as they have a gane tomorrow!

What made you think he doesn't? Just because he doesn't tell us that he's given that players a roasting doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

In that respect he's the same as SAF. All he ever says is that him and the players "spoke about it", but we all know he gives the players the hair dryer treatment because they have said so, not him.

Spot on, after all the years Tilly has been in charge there are still people here who believe he lacks intestinal fortitude. Oh well each to his own.

Or he could have got involved in a towel snapping fight before chucking someones bag in the shower because they used up all his Lynx.

I personally don't think Tilly is the aggresive shouting type. More of a calm speaker. Could be wrong, but the way he comes across, it's hard to imagine him screaming and shouting. Whereas Brushy is the main man for that job i reckon.

I seem to recall the Brighton Away game this year. Anyone who has been there will know the changing rooms are those porta-cabin types, and you walk right past them to get to the away "stand", and you can hear what's happening in there.

Well, anyway, I remember the 1st half was flat. At HT, after having a ****, i walked back to the "stand" and i swear, the sheer rage and anger you could hear coming from that room. It could have been either of them (But i reckon it was Brushy TBH), but at that point i thought i'm ****ing glad i ain't in there. They were getting a proper telling off. And i do recall, we came out and played somewhat decent stuff in the second half

Been saying our motley collection of individuals have needed a rocket for the past few weeks.

I had hoped the win at Birdbrain Rd might have given them a bit of a boost but I guess the weather put paid to any chance of that continuing.

You may well be correct, but I don't suppose it really matters. You don't have to scream and shout to be an effective manager. It is just as effective (of not more so) to let the players know you're not happy without raising your voice.

I really don't know why Tilson is giving the players a bollocking in the dressing room.

He should first and foremost be on the pitch applauding the fans who have travelled, he should then be saving his tongue lashings for BBC Essex, not the players.

He really is clueless and just doesn't know what the most important people at the club, we the fans, want.

Tilly has a filthy temper, according to someone I spoke to at the club. Brushy is just generally a bit ornery.

Yeah quite possibly. When i've met him he's been very polite, and when in the media he always seems calm.

Not denying the possibility though.

I'm glad he doesn't go around ranting in public. Personally I think it shows more of a loss of control, rather than a lack of passion (as some seem to suggest). If he's going to dress players down, then that's best done in the dressing room in private... and (in agreement with MtS), I've heard that Tilly isn't afraid to use both barrels to make his point known.

Indeed, his butler has never caught on to predictive text. :)
Actually, thinking about it, the butler must have got hold of MtS' phone at some stage, because when I text to say it was 1-1, I got the reply "Arse".....

edit - Sorry :offtopic:
