It's crazy that this can have happened. They only sold Rowan Vine for a couple of million a few months ago. Plus they've sold other players in recent years. Food for thought for those moaning about the 'missing' Eastwood money.

EDIT - in fact SSN just said that they'd raised 12m in player sales in the past two seasons. Crazy.

Yep its all down to them having greedy *******s on the board, I feel sorry for their fans really, at the start of last season they had a very good team which could have been capable of getting into the playoffs in the CCC...
 
Never liked Luton as a club - all those years with their nasty Tory chairman, plastic pitch, compulsory ID cards to please Thatcher, Steve Foster etc. but don't really wish this on them.

Sad for football with so much money in the game but hardly any filtering down to the smaller clubs...
 
If they've made that much money in transfers recently then I haven't got that much sympathy with them if they are still in financial strife. I'm grateful that we're seemingly so well managed on the financial side of things though.

what a mess that club is in, to raise £12 million in player sales and then go in to administration two years later is just unbelievable.

I've always hated Luton but the fans don't deserve this. The ex-board and everyone connected to them deserve it.

Unbelievable is one word to describe it. Deeply suspicious, alarming, raises alarm-bells... those might be other ways of describing it.

I am sure the administrators are going to be extremely interested in finding out just where £12m has vanished to in such a short space of time. My goodness, those directors have got an awful lot of explaining to do...

You don't think they've got their hands on those Child Benefit details do you? All they will have to do is nick 50p from the 25million accounts and they will turn that £12million loss into a £500K profit.
