whilst everyone is digging at Bolger for the second goal, the first one was just as annoying for me, Hurst just standing in the centre of the midfield allowing two players to plunder an open pitch on the right hand side again, it was a class finish.....but the right midfielder should have covered and helped White out a lot more, Poor performance, poor tactics, poor team selection.........we have to change it around and get back on track, as for the chants of the supporters......words just fail me on that front, and also behind ne at the back was our own supporters almost coming to blows over differences of opinions at half time, looking at his face not sure Brown was expecting to get booed like that at the end when he walked past the supporters but the buck stops with him

To add...the first goal came from Shaq leaving the ball behind on our left wing and losing possession. Doesn't look as disastrous as Bolger's error but same net effect

Phil IMO is a mediocre manager who achieved promotion with Hull but apart from that he has been average at best in every other job he has had.

It's rubbish.

if you could just repeat that for us again after every game in case there is anybody in south essex or beyond unsure of your opinion on the manager, that would be great. :raspberry:

Was not at the game as was in Tallinn for the England game but disgusted to hear our fans acting in such a way, football has moved on from that

Well said.

Prosser was terrible and he has grown into a good player for us.

Guess with Bolger he came with a fee so expectations a little higher.

Hmm. A little harsh, that. Prosser was terrible against Port Vale and definitely struggled to regain confidence after that, but before that had a fantastic game against Bristol City in the League Cup and returned from his spell at Rushden a different player.

I mentioned this in another thread but that is now shut. The Luton fans in box 1 at the end of the game who spat on a group of southend fans where a disgrace. They started to give the young southend fans abuse, they reacted and started to give the danny dyer and mouth of back to them but then one Luton fan spat on them. Disgusting.

. I'm not going to have this "make Bolger a scapegoat" thing, it was very bizarre him going off and taking his shorts off and standing on the touchline for ages in his pants - but none of us realised that he had a head injury at that point. It wasn't till the head strapping came on...again...that it became clear. And he wasn't right, the blood was soon pouring down his face again, even before he played that terrible "pass".

How can you not have realised he had a head injury??? There was a huge clash of heads...the Luton player was laid flat out on the pitch and Bolger was wandering off in a daze with blood running down his face and all over his shorts?

What exactly did you think was happening? Some form of Greek Drama Production?

He was also terrible against Morecambe last week

Ok, maybe not as bad as it was!!!

This has already been filed as a complaint with our club, who will be taking the matter up with LTFC.

Doctor, yes maybe-but our pathetic management should have made the decision, as poor Bolger was stood there motionless in his underpants for a good couple of minutes before they started trying to bandage his head wounds.Even when he passed straight to their striker ,they did'nt withdraw him immediately and he very nearly did the same thing again. And if you weren't there or are "I have no brain", I can assure you he was playing well before he got injured.
Ludicrous also not to start with Corr and Payne, preferring Weston who seems to have forgotten how to attack and Atkinson who never learnt in the first place.

I wasn't there so this is a genuine question- did any of our players signal to the bench to say that he needed to go off , or order him to go down when the ball was off so he could get more attention?

No they didn't, it was the ref who came over and told him to go and get some attention.

To be honest, Bolger had his back to us and I didn't realise he was even injured at first. There must have been blood on his shorts as the kit man brought some new ones over.

He certainly didn't appear to be wobbling about at that point.
