lowest..

If the price had been £15 then there would of been at least 2 more people there last night.

First home game we have missed (other than holiday or illness) for probably 15 years, including Anglo Italian, Leyland Daff, Freight Rover and LDV etc.

I know its only a difference of £6, but it became a matter of principle.

but of course who can forget the legendary 657 v cambridge utd at home
in the ldv
5-4!!!! danny oshea mom

You, obviously. The crowd was 945 ! :)

Co-incidentally 37 years ago today, a solitary Billy Best goal knocked Dagengham out of the Cup.

Lowest attendance for an FA Cup game in 95 years is the stat.

1100 or so for the 10-1 Aldershot game (which even I attended!)

Id say no more than 4,500.

4,500 x £15 = £67,500

or

3,000 x £20 = £60,000.

Obviously a huge mistake on the clubs part and as I assume the South stand was open when it was closed for the "smaller" LDV game vs Daggers I assume the club actually thought we would be getting a decent crowd last night.

Hopefully they will take this on board for the next round which coming just after Christmas when everyone is completely skint....

interesting way of working it out!

Add to that the extra revenue from food bar and programme sales with a bigger crowd as well... hopefully the club will learn from this faux-pas.

Or that your tight?

Out of interest, what do people think the attendence would have been if tickets had been, say, £15?

I actually think the club made out of this. 2,700+ at £20 a head (I know minus the concessions), but I doubt we would have doubled the crowd had it been a tenner.

They were non-league, it was cold, it's near Xmas etc.....

I didnt go to the replay objecting to the price, plus the **** poor tactics and performance in the first leg which i did attend. Its the first home game ive missed in nearly 5 years. I refuse to be treated as a mug punter, just becouse i love to support my team.

Correct me if i am wrong but it wasnt that long ago that we had a gate of around 2,200 against preston north end in the league. With that in mind was last night really that bad. Incidentally i didnt go because i couldnt afford to go and i couldnt be bothered to pay £20 to watch us tit around against a non league side. I stayed in and watched liverpool and i am glad that i did.

Who waa the muppet who texted in to BBC Essex saying that there had been "a co-ordinated boycott of the game". Complete and utter slobbocks.

Was the pricing policy really all down to SUFC? I'd be surprised if it was because cup games have been very reasonably priced for the last few seasons.

I wish someone at the club would just say either way.

Oxford's officials were pointing the finger at SUFC when the replay prices were announced. However, they had to agree them, so some degree of consultation must have taken place.

IIRC, there was an element of tit-for-tat involved after Oxford charged league prices for the initial game.

Strange the club have not uttered on this matter.

Sometimes someone makes an adverse statement about the club and Scriv is on here in about a nanosecond refuting it.

From what has been said it sounds a bit like when we were negotiating admission prices, we asked them to drop from their normal prices, they (rightly) refused so we said right we'll keep ours the same too. Now who do we have on the board who'd be stubborn and petty enough to take that approach?

We later dropped it by a couple of quid. Too little, too late.

The point is they were playing UP two levels, why should they lower prices. We didn't when we played Man Utd. When you come to the replay the converse is true, we are playing DOWN two levels and dropping the prices is a no brainer.

Same here, I think the gate was always going to be very, very low for a lot of factors and the club have priced it at a level at which they've minimised their losses. As I said last week, we can't have it both ways as the club have consistently cut prices in cup ties in the last few years, not least at the start of this season and we've still had very low gates.

It's all in the past now anyway.
