The Euro elections are a weird old thing. Although there are 7 seats in the Eastern region, you get one vote for a party or for one of the 2 independent candidates. They then elect on proportional representation and the parties select who will get their quota of seats.

Don't like the sound of that much - they may decide to put someone like the Harry Hill lookalike in. Think I might go independent - We've got Martin Bell who made that Tory look a tw*t a few years back and some bloke called
Jim Naisbitt who sounds alright and has put up his own savings in order to stand, bless him! Might try to help him save his deposit, and if he gets elected I'll point him towards Shrimperzone and how I lobbied for him and make him owe us some favours!
