Likely dates for playing postponed games?

We now have a couple of games to rearrange, today's game against Halifax and the one on 1st February against Fylde when we've got the next round of the cup.

What do we think are the most likely dates for these games given other commitments and availability of the other sides (are they in the National League Trophy thing?)

Hopefully not the week beginning 3/2, as I'm away...

Bearing in mind our appalling record on Saturday's recently it might be a result that these 2 games will now be midweek...

A Friday night would be nice for either of these. Very disappointed at the lack of Friday night games these days. Whether Kev likes them or not, it's such a better vibe and we do seem to perform better and draw bigger gates.

Doubt it would be the Tuesday after Sittingbourne, incase that was postponed due to any potential reasons

Assume away team have to agree to it and maybe a reciprocal arrangement for the away game. So very unlikely sadly.

Absolutely, but if they are faced with a Tuesday trip down here anyway, would a Friday instead be any worse?

Forgive me if I’m being stupid but why would games get rearranged to a Friday when we play on Saturdays?
I was talking about the likes of Halifax (after Saturdays postponement) now face the prospect of coming down here on a Tuesday night. Why not a Friday instead in that situation?

Sorry mate I really don't get what you mean about why not a Friday? We can't play Friday because we play Saturdays? And when the fixtures get announced teams are unlikely to move a game from a Saturday to a Friday, especially when they're coming from places like Halifax etc.

Lol we are going around in circles here.

We won't be playing Halifax or Fylde at home on a Saturday now, as there's unlikely any Saturdays available for the rest of this season.

So those two home games will have to be moved to probably a Tuesday night. But, Friday night could also be an option instead if both teams agreed.

But as you say, there aren’t any free Saturdays. So why would both teams agree to move it to a Friday night, the night before a different game?

No, I get it. It would require other games to be moved to midweek of course. Complicated but has been done in the past. Anyway, time to move on!

You're saying that a team has previously agreed to move from a Saturday to a midweek game so we can play someone else on the Friday instead. And of course the match between the team we are now playing on Friday and their opponents scheduled for the following day would also have to be moved. I don't think so. The only way you could get half way near to achieving this is an unlikely combination of matches being postponed due to a Trophy run by the opponents, and not us.

Only potential free Saturday will be if Sutton get to the FA Trophy SF and we don't

we used to switch Saturday games to Fridays. even post the whole London clubs playing on Saturdays thing.. northern teams where happy to get down here play the game and be back for the weekend..
alas our record was so good at home towards the end it got f..... off

No Friday couldn’t be an option because we have games on the Saturdays?
