Liam Dickinson

Happy for him! When he first broke his ankle you wouldn't have thought he would have such a lay off!

id happily take him back here! But he is a good earner apparently!

Interesting to see how Tom Pope gets on this season. He was excellent for the Valiants last year ...... but I think his goal scoring record prior to that was quite poor. Was it a one off year or can he repeat it in a division higher?

I'd have him back, he had his critics here, harshly imo but the guy could put the ball in the net. In hindsight we were right not to offer him a new deal as he's been out for 16 months so we'd have had another Barry Corr on our hands. I wonder if he is a name on Brown's radar.

I wouldn't complain much if we signed him but I don't think he's the type of striker we need. Corr is a better targetman and Seedy Njie also seems to be in that mould - he's big, anyway. We need a more pacey, mobile striker to replace Tomlin and Britt. I always thought Dicko was a bit lazy, too, and quite a few of his goals were penalties IIRC.

The football we played that season didn't suit him. Although he was big, he just didn't play like a target man. He was "good with his feet for a big guy" and we didn't use this for some reason. I'd have him back if the chance arose.

Agreed. Would rather we look at a striker similar to Tomlin and Assombalonga.
