Lets make lots of money.

In whats state is the property in? How much needs to be thrown at it in your opinion to get it up to scratch?

It does sound like a real investment opportunity but wonder how bad it is to only be £7500
Its not bad at all and we were surprised at how good a state it was in for the price and if we had the money we would have moved in straight away.

A new roof done by me on an hourly rate would be around three grand with velux windows and a new floor in the loft to take another two bedrooms.
New electrics would be around a grand.
Two new bedrooms about a grand but a kitty could be built up by renting it out so costs could be spread out over a few years.

When the price is this low, there's always a catch. Normally something you don't know about.

Of course that would be true in the UK but this is France where everything is double black and white with the only down side i can see is the no re-sale within five years rule to stop profit hunters doing quick turnarounds on cheap houses.
The house will pay for itself within three years and at todays prices would triple in price and give the buyers free holidays.
I know it sounds too good to be true but houses are cheap here and the seller thinks it needs a new roof and electrics and there is no garden only a courtyard which is the medevil road, its a steal and i say that as a builder and a fat bloke.

Fair enough. It's just that I know someone who got a stone house in France for silly money, and there was shenanigans going on as they only found out after the sale that all the drains under their ground had to be replaced by them. It ended up double dear.

How easy is it to get from Limoges?

Is there direct public transport or would you need a car?

Taxi from airport to station, train to Argenton-sur-Creuse then Taxi to Cluis so better off hiring a car at airport or i could pick you up but i drive like i spell badly.

We planned to buy this place in feb but it turns out the money we have in an isa dos not mature for another ten years.

The drains are on the mains and not a fosse as most are,if he had known or asked he could have put the drains in the compris de vente which means seller beware.
