I think JCR will get a good reception. He always put in 100% but was just very frustrating at times. As for Leon, i'd imagine he'd get a decent reception too boot!
Tilly isn't 100% convinced about Morgan, hence why we're not itching to throw him a good contract. It's not just a money thing.
Agreed with the JCR reception thing. He was pretty well liked here overall and although I'm slightly disappointed he uprooted and left at the first chance despite the fact we went through so much to get him, I'll be giving him a good clap myself. Although it is more down to the fact he enjoyed seeing his name on my shirt so much last season!
I shall boo JCR when he runs out and abuse him during the game.
Put simply,he is a good player but i wont want him performing well against us so anything to put him off his game. When the final whistle goes i shall thank him for putting in a sh*t performance and give him a good clap:D
Almost invariably, booing and abusing opposition players makes them raise their game and play better. It's booing and abusing your own players that does work in getting a worse, less confident performance.
Rooney and Ronaldo might concede to my way of thinking though Cliff, they couldn't hit a cow's arsh with a banjo after taking more abuse than anyone i've seen for years at the 'Hall.
More to do with Flahavan that night than your booing I'd argue! ;)
Ronaldo is booed consistently by opposition fans in the Premier League... and he's arguably the best player every week in the Premier League.
I'd have to agree.
Take Lee "Murderer" Hughes for example - he got all sorts of proper abuse at Millwall and still scored a hat trick.
He didnt get a brilliant time at RH and still scored
i was embarassed by the abuse he got, i sometimes wish our fans would spend more time and energy focusing on our players for once. Hughes, Ronaldo, Duguid etc all seem to up their game when they get a load of stick so what's the point? If you want to raise concerns about the justice system or whatever then write into the Daily Mail... but when you support Southend down at the Hall then make sure you do just that!
