Leon to Leeds?

Latest rumour to popularise is that the Morgan to Leeds deal fell through partly because Leeds will be talking to Leon this week...

Not sure what to think really, If Tilson is questioning Leon's commitment then he's really not worth the risk. We've had this before with Ricketts and it had a devastating effect on the team.
 
I think of the 2, I'd rather we went for Morgan over Leon.
Maybe he needs time to settle and can perform more consistently a la D&R rather than some of his previous below-par showings. As said yesterday, he brings pace to the team & that's something we're a little bit lacking in just now.

Id go for Leon.

He showed he has class at times and whilst his attitude can be questioned and parts of his game were poor (clumsy etc) he can put the ball in the net.

I liked Morgan from the start and think when we played to his strengths by putting the ball in front of him he was creative and I dont think we saw the best of him.

However overall we need a scorer more than a provider, although Id like to see Morgan here.

Dont think we will get either though unfortunately.

But presumably he would have been on Championship money with his Luton contract, hence one of the reasons why administration crept up on them so quickly!

Just not sure if anybody (other than Col Ewe) in the Championship would offer him a similar contract!

Also been reading an article on This Is Plymouth (checking for any more Fallon news) and Sturrock reckons a lot of average Championship players are trying (and in some cases succeeding) to secure deals for £10k, £12k or £14k a week! :eek:
 
its a complte free market/auction.

the agents all want their players available so they can get the best deals - and so will play hardball until end of window -

feel sorry for Morgan cos it seemed he wanted to go to Leeds but his agent got greedy over the cash and Bates and co laughed him off - plenty more out there - e.g. Leon.

At the end I guess Tilson will have the pick of those unwanted by bigger the payers -

****e system and i hate it even more than the loan thingy

And it is very unlikely that Col Ewe would have him back considering his previous light-fingeredness.

Why would Leeds want Leon when they are already blessed with more than enough strikers?. I have noticed this season that Leeds have taken over from Chelsea in the speculation game as to who they are supposedly due to sign. During the last 2 weeks the number of so-called players who have been linked with them in the press has exceeded double figures!. Guess this is what you have to put with if you are a 'big club'.
 
If Leon does go to Leeds.... what type of reception do you think he will get when he comes back here at the end of the month? Same goes for JCR.
