Surely, the "worst Premiership player ever" title goes to Ali Dia, the supposed "cousin" of George Weah.

Souness signed him for Southampton, brought Dia on as a sub for 20 minutes, and then subbed him again.

The bloke was, in fact, a poor-quality Sunday League player who was clearly having a laugh - by all accounts, two weeks after playing for Southampton, he was dropped from the bench by... Gateshead.
