So Sawyer slips back into non-league then. Seems such a blatant waste of talent, but you have to question why he doesn't make it at a higher level.

Dont even think its his attitude.

He showed potential when first joined but he hasnt delivered anywhere since then.

If he was good enough then he would have been played in the middle, but no manager has thought he was good enough.

As for the dutch needing to offload some players, are they really that skint they cant sign a player on £1000 a week if they really wanted him that much ?

Lee signed for Woking fc tonight for 1 year contract, done well out at den hagg went to there boot camp not many players make that but they need to of load 2 players before he may have a chance still.Coach wants him but its all about money as you all know.We will have to see watch this space again. The coach at Woking fc wants to build his team round him in the middle of the park.

Good luck Lee. Colin Chemico fc.

Looks like my hat is safe then.

I'm also not convinced it's attitude. Sawyer had three or four strong performances when he first joined us. That was five years ago. He's never put in anything like that level of performance for any manager at any club in any position.

Maybe he's just not very good?

Flattered to deceive for me. What he was good at was being on the ball, which most players dont seem to be so he looked like a good player, but he never did anything with it.

I keep waiting for him to do something that proves his fans right, but never happens. If we are wrong he will dominate games in the conference and be back in the league.

As ive told you the coach wants to build his team round Lee playing him in the middle of the park at Woking fc he must beleve in him like a lot of people as to his attitude its been superb beleve me i know.Lets see how they fair in the conferance .

This. I've never understood the fascination with Sawyer as a central midfielder. He lacks so many of the required qualities to be effective that I'm often bemused by the clamour to involve him. He can't tackle, his passing flatters to deceive and he's never struck me as the most intelligent or astute of operators. His game was built around his industrious, tenacious nature and his reasonable ability to carry the ball. For the centre of the park, he's a luxury player or an impact sub. Someone to run at tired legs and be a little more direct when chasing a game.

He was actually far better suited to the wing in my opinion, but he seemed at odds in that position whenever Sturrock fielded him there. He never seemed to get to grips with the demands of wing-play and this could be what PS was referring to when he mentioned Sawyer's apparent inability/reluctance to listen to instructions.

It's a shame, because he seemed a very promising player in his first loan spell, but he hasn't shown anything remotely like that level of performance since then.

I'm surprised that Sawyer appeared at The Hague for footballing matters though. Given the fact that he's seemingly made more appearances in court than he has on a pitch over the last few years, I'd have thought he would've been extremely reluctant to visit the home of the international criminal court.

Some players one likes and some one never warms too ............ at the away game at Crewe a few years ago, he (Sawyer) played marvellously and much like the game last season with Moshni, we came away with 3 points, beaming smiles and shaking heads ......... sometimes winning when you know you don't deserve to leaves quite an impression.

As a result I have always looked kindly upon Sawyer .......... perhaps it is all rose-coloured glasses and nostalgia .....

Yup you've certainly told yourself there.

Its one thing building a conference team around him, another being able to dominate a midfield in the lofty heights of League Two.

Keep us updated on how he gets on.
