Lee nelsons well good show

I think the adverts didnt help him as both the Mrs and I saw it and thought no way.

Having read the info on here i might give it a go.

Lee Nelson was a last minute replacement for Russell Howard at the comedy I went to last night. Got to say, I was impressed and having been put off by those irritating trailers, I will now make an effort to watch him on TV.

FWIW Richard Herring was headlining and previewing his Edinburgh show. I've always been a fan of Herring and listen to his podcasts (AIOTM; Collings and Herrin; and his 6 music one with tiny Andrew Collins), but this was in a completely different class. If you didn't catch it last time he did it, look out for his Christ on a Bike show if you like your comedy to examine religion, philosophy and knob jokes.

Blimey you were lucky, I literally detest Russell Howard and do not understand why BBC3 are courting him as the new comedy messiah.

As posted by others was very pleasantly surprised by Lee Nelson, have laughed more at his show than any other BBC3 comedy (except Summer Heights High, which wasn't a BBC production) over the last 2 years.

Yeah, I know where you are coming from. I really didn't rate Russell Howard when he started on Mock the Week, but I think he's grown as a comedian (quite why the Beeb let him develop on air rather than pick a polished performer, I don't know) so I was curious to see what he was like live, but I was primarily there to see Richard Herring anyway.

something about him remind me of ali-g circa 1999-2001.

Er, the mocking of chav culture?
