According to my wife (who is a physio) if he really has a fractured ankle he'll be out for about three months.

It's only a hairline fracture, which isn't as serious as an actual fracture.

Yes this is very bad news for Laurent and for us.

Only positive thing I would say about it is at least we aren't short in the striking department. We still have Barney, Freedman, Revell and Walker. If it was a defender it would be more worrying.

I think we could see another striker coming in on loan/perm during the transfer window. Such a shame to lose Laurent, lets hope it is not as bad as first expected and he isn't out for the possible 6 weeks.

I also thought it was bad news to begin with.

But actually I'm quite pleased. At least now he can't mug Chelsea's team right off, then get sold the next day. He'll still be our player in 2 months time, that's the main thing.

And...... hopefully next season. The future looks orange whenever he may return to fitness.

According to her a fracture is a fracture, i.e. the bone is broken. Having said that, she added a caveat by saying it depends on what bone is actually broken.
