Breaking News LAURENT COMPLETES MOVE from OS

Im a little concerned that despite him only being French he cant speak English and spoke through a translator. I thought most if not all French children were taught how to speak English and possibly German as early as 5 years old when they first start school. Lets hope when the crowd get restless and shout shoot, he knows what they are crying out for.

"The language will be a barrier to start with but I am going to learn as quickly as possible.

"When I was out in Germany I managed to pick it up really quickly so hopefully that will be the case here."

Maybe he just didn't pay attention at school!

Is the Moose's first language French?

Possibly unless his Flamand........but pretty sure he would speak French.
I don't think English will be a problem, as Tilly will see it as his priority to teach him our noble language. Can't wait for his first interview......like I zay! .............Allez Laurent allez Laurent alleeez!

Sorry about that .........tapped message in response to Teeside shrimper before eating but it didn't work ........managed to send it a few minutes ago, after dinner, without having checked that the message was already replied to. Nevertheless the comment about Tilly still stands!

Well, it's not quite as bad as trying to teach French in England, as my wife spent 13 years struggling to do. Often the question 'why do we have to do French?', came up.
In France there is some experience of English at primary school level, but nothing too structured. Serious teaching of English starts at College (middle school) level. However, as my old woodwork master used to say "you can take a horse to the water but you can't make it drink." Thus, there are many kids who end their school education without being able to string two words of English together. Now, I'm not casting aspersions on
our new boys academic abilities, or lack of .......quite honestly, I don't give a damn.........Bailey wasn't exactly brain of Britain......and he did oK for us.

I'm a little concerned he had a fruitless trial at Barnet before turning up here but will reserve full judgement until I've seen him play for myself.

Tilson seems think he is a lot like Kanu, is that N****** Kanu or Hal-Robson Kanu? ;)

Do you sometimes use Babelfish for your posts in English?

Please stop this terrible :hijack: Rayleigh. For shame.

So, forgive me for asking a daft question - but who is this guy? Where did we sign him from, what sort of player is he, has anyone seen him play?

As for him not speaking English yet... <<bof>>. How many English footballers speak French? Not many, I'd wager.

Matt

I'm guessing Moussa does, most Belgians speak a form of French don't they? Not sure how some of Tilly's favourite phrases will translate for him.
