Very good Q and A. I hope people will feel more positive about things and appreciate the complexities involved in running a football club and moving to a new stadium. Well done to those that attended the meeting and posed the questions. Well done to SK and RM for delivering numerous responses and attempting to engage with the supporters. UTB.

Some good positive stuff and great to have some direct responses to direct questions (even if a couple of those questions were a bit "baity")

Ken

how did you feel the meeting went ? The notes are great but cant convey everything. The questions are very varied, from people with very different uderstandings/opiions /styles of questioning, and from a 'Ron' perspective I hope he didn't leave thinking less ous than hen he walked in.

having said that the notes look very positive , although there is a lot of 'no concrete info' except for news on two of the shops which is good, although at the same time it would have been good to know how many that left and where we were (but that is wth hindsight).

well done again

As soon as I get time I will put up a report of how things went. Not tonight I am far too ****ed off after 90 mins of torture.

Hopefully if everyone , club management, Trust and fans all pull in the same direction things will improve ----- shame the on-field performances put a damper on things at the moment.

10. How many mobile phones does he have paid for by the club ?

SK – Ron has two mobile phones, although one remains in his car. Both are paid for by his property group.

This has to be the worst and most pointless question ever

Some very interesting answers, and like mark387 do feel slightly more positive about things. Good news about more shops being purchased, and Ron does seem to have learnt some lessons. A shame that there still isn't a satisfactory answer about the revenue streams from FF. Also it's worrying that we've got a bigger wage bill for a smaller squad IMO.

WHAT THE F##K ??!!??!!

"This year’s player’s wages are in fact higher than last year even though the squad size is less"

Depends on why the question was asked. There was rumours large bills were being run up and charged to the club.

19. How long, based on our current projected cash flows can the club survive without receiving financial investment from an external source? And if no external source is available does RM have funds in any of his businesses to cover the projected deficit and for how long?
RM - The Clubs finances do require my support and that position has improved over the past three years but the Club will only be sustainable when the new Stadium is complete….remember it is being constructed in two phases due to the related enabling development. The world is a very changed place from 2007 and we have had to perform financial gymnastics to keep this project alive.

So that looks like confirmation to me we will have a 3 sided stadium. Terrible news.

Things have got a bit whingey on here since the Ronald/club Q&As became less frequent so good to see they are planning more communication, doubt many other clubs are this open.

Medium term we want to see this Club playing in at least the Championship in front of near full houses every week in a new Stadium pushing for promotion to the Premier League, we have to have ambitious targets.

Got to say this cracked me up! Medium term I was say is usually about 3-4 years, and it will take at least 2 to get into the Championship.

Plenty of those responses refer to the club receiving "Commercial income" from the new stadium.

Sorry for souding a bit thick. But how is this going to be achieved by a 3 sided stadium, without the main stand which would offer such commercial streams?

Granted, if and when the main stand is built I can understand. But how are we going to survive until this happens?

Portakabins on the mud bank, serving up happy meals from McDonalds up the road?

Good call. The one "commercial income" strand I do like, is comparing us to Brighton. They are a success story regarding new ground equalling more revenue equalling better results on the pitch, so that tells me we are supposedly heading in the right direction.

Indeed, there was some positive comments in there, but also a lot of comments which actually didnt answer anything, which is understandable but just poses more questions. ie when is the 4 stand going to be completed, 1 year ? 5 years?

Exactly. This is massive. If it is "only" a few months or perhaps a year behind the rest of the development, then I won't see that as much of an issue. But let's just say for arguments sake it takes 2/3/4/5 years or never for the main stand to be built. Will we still be here?...I think not.

Just how long can we survive, with less commercial streams than currently available at Roots Hall?

If it was just a standard end missing from the stadium, it wouldn't really bother me. But to have the main stand missing for an as yet unknown amount of time, is very concerning. I cannot think of another team that has gone about a stadium development in this way. It just seems ridiculous and very risky to me. Let's face it. Without a main stand we are finished.

But the completion of a 14,000 seater piece of ****, with less commercial streams than RH currently. Will enable RM/Sainsbury to commence work on the other developments they are both really interested in. Concerning?....I think so.

Sorry, but if the funding is not in place to build the stadium fully. Then we should not be moving.

It's ok, the money comes out of the YTS fund, who go unpaid.....

Well done for getting this dialogue started.
Some interesting answers , but as some have said , some non-committal ones , which was always going to be the case.
Nevertheless it's a start and hope it continues.

Absolutely love Number 27 - both the question itself and the answer.
IMO , as long as you can keep a straight face , this question should be tabled at every meeting :winking:
