If Brown can bring in another striker, someone with pace, I fancy us to get something out of all three games.
Six points from nine would be a very good return.
It's been a great start and I can feel myself getting carried away on the rising tide of optimism
It's still only been three games, though, and there's such a lot of luck in football. Who knows how the Northampton game would have panned out if they'd scored the pen? IMO we played best at 2-0 up when we looked great but before that it was hard work. We still aren't creating enough chances for the strikers for my liking and work to be done there. Would be happy with 5 points from the next three games but obviously I'd hope for more. Enjoying it all so far!!!
Isn't it funny how people's expectations change after three games?
Who knows how the season will pan out, even after 10 or 15 games. There are so many variables that could come into play, us having some luck is essential.
Whilst a pacy striker would be great I cant see us changing from Corr/Eastwood at moment.
As ever the voice of reason. This for me. I'd be content with 4 from the next 3, if we get a draw at Chesterfield that will be a great result. This next game really will be a barometer of where we're at.Hats off to the team for the results and performances so far. There seems to be a good blend and that is vital at this level. However, I would qualify it by saying I thought Plymouth were dire and by the sounds of things Hartlepool lack quality as well. Cobblers of course played three quarters of the game with ten men. But you can only beat what's put in front of you so well done to all.
I would expect next weekend to be an extremely tough game and if we can come away with anything I might start considering us to be possible play-off contenders.
I still think, in the grand scheme of things, that Oxford, Fleetwood, Chesterfield and Portsmouth (although their results don't back it up so far) look a cut above anything else at this level and the rest are much of a muchness.
Four points from the next three games would be OK. Anything more would be excellent.
Agreed, but surely having someone with pace to change things if they're not working is a good idea. Gives the opposition something else to worry about, rather than more of the same.
Why not? Bentley is playing like a legend, the full backs are both very good, Luke has matured and Mark Philips is likely to be back or the new lad can show his skills again.I can't see us keeping another clean sheet on Saturday!

The midfield may not have Laird but we have very good replacements, & the front two are as good/better than any in this league; my criticism of the midfield would be it is too defensive biased: and Barry defends set pieces well.
Yours is far from the first glum post AND I don't understand the realism of it, we will lose sometime but we have as good chance as in the last 3 league games to keep a clean sheet. UTB!
Because clean sheets are statistically pretty difficult to achieve. To achieve 4 in a row is very low on the probability stakes and the fact we are away to the team 3rd makes it even less likely.
We are doing well but will probably concede and win 6-1.
