Wow. 9 points from 3 games. No goals conceded. Can't get much better than that.

Coming up ...........

Chesterfield Away ............ favoured by many to be promotion candidates
Wycombe Away ............... have had a difficult time recently
Morecambe Home ............. always a hard working and tricky side

We already have two injuries (Phillips and Laird) but cover that seems up to the job.

I would be "happy" with 7 points from those games but feel that 5 would be a more realistic target. After all, win your home games and draw away is the old adage .........

Who knows with Chesterfield next week

Would expect us to win Wycombe and morcombe.
Would be happy with six points from next three. Four points would be minimum

Next week will be tough indeed, if we do lose then it will be how we bounce back that will show how far we can go this season. I fancy us to win against chesterfield, 1-0

Next week will be key in showing our realistic chances this season. Chesterfield are one of the fancied teams and on their own ground, there is a bit of a nasty atmosphere because of the whole "tapping up" thing with Cresswell and our team will undoubtedly be tested.

Confidence will be high though so fingers crossed this run continues.

Max points so far is way beyond most fans expectations,Fantastic stuff from Phil and his band of hard working players.

Brilliant.

Do we take many away to Wycombe as compared to some of the others , its only up the road?
When I have been to Wycombe the away day crew have been there in good numbers and voice; if you drive don't park too close to the ground as it is a bit of a mare to get out from.
Chesterfield last year was difficult as touch and go if it was on because of snow; & not well supported, but new & easy ground for parking etc.

Another factor is that after 6 games you can start to draw some conclusions from the league table although it is still very early days. Psychologically it would be good to be in the top third after playing 2 away games and then having 2 home games coming .............. and it might boost the crowd numbers a little.

I think the 3 teams we have played will all be in the top half of the table, as will Chesterfield; by that thinking we ought to be determined to take maximum points from Morecombe and Wycombe.

Who knows how the season will pan out, even after 10 or 15 games. There are so many variables that could come into play, us having some luck is essential.

I'd be happy with 5 from the next 3. 6 games, 14 points, that's over 100 points in the season.

You're not wrong. I said you're not wrong. But what do you think about the next 3 games?

Are you suggesting I'm wrong!?

Well I don't want to get too carried away but I think we will nail the next 3 teams for 9 points, I suspect we might be around the top 3 around Xmas but after then it's anyone's guess - I would like a couple more players to see us through to the end of the season as a couple of injuries or suspensions and the squads severely compromised.

Southend top of the table......eastwood scoring goals......de ja vu or what. Early season top of the table clash and a big test for the lads.

I am going to Chesterfield for the first time. I fully expect a much tougher test than our first 3 games. Plymouth were poor, I suspect Hartlepool were similar , and likewise Northampton failed to impress me. Yesterday after their early game rough stuff which we stood up to quite well, Bentley had no real saves to make, other than the pen....So Chesterfield away is more of a test. Keith Hill at Rochdale reckons they are the league's best side and cites ROBERTS as the best player in Div 2
