Hahahaha. Someone fell for it!

It was so far fetched it had to be a wind up!

Who was runner up?
Ole Monkey Head

Pfffft. I'm the corner taker (along with Dan). Barry can go jump ...

Good stuff, Naps.

When initially reading the contract stuff, I too was worried about Wozza & Jimmy C not being offered contracts yet... Surely, sheer lunacy to lose either, let alone both...?!

Anyhow, all good stuff - very heartening. It really feels like, as a club, we've reached the bottom... and now we're on the way back.

COME ON!!!

Corbett has been injured for most of the season, and when played up front, he has been good. But not as good as Dudfield, Constantine, or dare I say it, Broughton.

Warren is another matter. Give him another contract pronto. Nuff said.

I would totally disagree. Corbett is a different player to those you mention, but if we are to play with a target man/poacher up front then Jimmy has to be the poacher. He makes the partnership completely, and anticipates the knock downs, flick ons, and his movement into space is pure class.

He would be able to partner Tes or Drewe up front, but I do not feel would work well with Dudfield or Constance, simply because they have a different style.

In no particular order of preference, IMHO the following strike pairings work;

Broughton/Corbett
Bramble/Corbett
Bramble/Dudfield
Constantine/Dudfield

I think Husbands could work with either Dudfield, Constantine or Corbett, but in that role Jimmy C would not be the poacher, and Michael is hardly prolific so that is probably a non-starter. I didn't actually rate the Husbands/Broughton partnership, although in fairness it was all very new back then.

Just remembered something else. Barry was moaning about the Streets at Jonathan Ross show, and Wozza said: "How old are you, Barry?" Wozza thinks it's a quality tune and was having a joke at Barry for dissing it. Respect.

Oh and you've seen nothing till you've seen Barry and Wozza compare their hairlines (and lack of)

Wozza sounds like the sort of have-a-laugh, up-for-it geezer that our club really needs if it is going to battle for promotion next season.

Sign him up, end of.

COME ON!!!!

Not just that- but his best moment of the season is beating the Scum.

The thing with Warren is that he is rather injury prone. He's on fairly high wages and this could be a stumbling block. Tilly may want someone a bit more reliable (and cheaper) than Warren. I'm not saying i dont wan't Warren to get a new deal, but i'm just warning everyone of what could happen. IMO his chance of getting a contract is only 50/50, and Jimmy's is even less ...

Which is double points as he used to play for the scum-bags (and was captain?) and STILL hates them....

I like having a laugh and I can be recruited for a fraction of the wages. Now that our five-a-side season's finished, and my player-manager duties are relinquished, I can be signed on a free!

Would be a pleasure to take up such a prestigious position were I not contracted to work in Portsmouth until August.

Also, slightly concerned you didn't even ask for my managerial record in charge.....

Players player of the season has, as Napster said in his original post.

The fans player of the year will be announced before Saturdays game as normal.

Che Wilson stayed till the end trying to chat up some girl who was the daughter of one of Barry's ex-bosses.
Thats a surprise, surely Constantine would have won it. Good to see they appreciate Gower's contribution to the team though. Still want Connie to win the fans award though, I've voted for him 4 times already

No surprise with Che, according to Mark Gower he's always talking to anyone who's anyone.

Corbett has only played up front twice, in both games he scored, and in both games he played well. How can you say he's done better than donkey Broughton, who's scored as many goals in over 30 games. Corbett should definitely get a new contract, if he can stay fit next season then he'll be valuable. Broughton can go to Canvey
