Lacking Balls

It's all a matter of interpretation as he is leaving players (Sawyer, Herd, Freedman) out of the side, when many here think they should be playing. On that premise alone I'd say he is.

He is playing his regulars/favourites no matter how bad they play. Leaving Sawyer etc on the bench isn't making a decision at all, it not taking the bull by the horns and upsetting a few regulars by making them do a stint on the bench

Doesn't have the balls, doesn't have the guts, too afraid to. Are these really personal insults?

I think they are the peoples view of the situation rather than it being a personal insult

What else can you describe them as???? They are calling a central part of his character into question. Of course they are personal insults.

In your view - but in reality you have no idea of the dynamics of the situation, or of Tilly's reasons for his team choice. What I do know is that for 6 years now Tilly has been producing silk purses from sow's ears, but still everyone and his caddy know better what he should do. Frankly I think those moaning like two year old's because of a couple of poor displays are cretins of the highest order with memories like goldfish - and of course you understand that that is in no way a personal insult, simply my view of the situation.

:p

I blame the Championship Manager generation, people who think that because they've won the Champions League with Southend on a computer game think they're qualified to judge people who do the job in real life.

I suppose I'm part of that generation too (all be it the early versions of the game) but was never really much cop at it (apart from CM4 which was very easy). However I have managed teams in business and had a modicum of success in that, believe me managing a diverse group of people to achieve a common goal is far more difficult than any computerised simulation. To do that in the high pressured and very public world of football must be even more difficult.

The thing is Tilly will get it right, he'll turn things around despite effectively having one hand tied behind his back financially. Why am I so confident? Because he always does!

Well said and largely points I have made before. I'd wager that Tilly has forgotten more about football management than many of our self styled "experts" will ever know.
